Adrienne health scare storyline

I know I don't always pay the closest attention to the storylines but whatever happened to her breast cancer gene scare? Was it just a little storyline they put on for October and then dropped or did I miss something?

We only saw that Adrienne has the breast cancer gene. She told Lucas, Justin and Sonny. But that's about the last we heard of it.

There really has been no more about it. Because she has the gene which makes her chances of getting breast cancer greater than normal, she was having to make a decision about what she will do. But.......no more since then.

Just another one of those poorly written crisis-of-the-moment storylines that quickly fizzles out. They can always use it later on in a full-blown story arc.

It was as if they needed to put on a certain amount of public service minutes, and they were just meeting their quota, rather than discussing a very serious decision many women are facing.

The spoilers made it sound like the diagnosis was going to bring Justin and Adrienne closer together. Seems like the ball was dropped on that.
