Criminals of Salem -- Past and Present

Vivian Alamain: It's Vivian! Enough said! LOL. Well, she did murder someone her very first scene on Days, shooting a man trying to kill Lawrence. Then of course attempting to murder Carly and Melanie, accidentally almost killed Kate leaving her crashed at sea.

Lawrence Alamain: Raped Jennifer and spousal physical abuse to Carly.

Sonny Kiriakis: Kept knowledge hidden of Nick's "murder".

Chloe Lane: Prostitution, child neglect/endangerment

Jennifer Horton: Abusing prescription drugs (likely illegally obtained).

Carly Manning: Shot Melanie by accident, stole drugs from the hospital, purchased drugs on the streets.

Eve Donovan: Prostitution, property theft, trespassing.

Shawn Brady/Belle Black: Kidnapping JT

Nicole Walker: Another one, come on, it's Nicole lol! Taking part in the distribution of child pornography (Nicole was underage when she was Misty Circle), attempted to kill her father Paul Mendez, attempted to kill Victor Kiriakis, attempted to kill Colin Murphy, kidnapped Sydney, ran Kristen's car off the road, property theft, breaking and entering, trespassing, public intoxication, open alcoholic beverage in public, and disguising herself as a nurse to disfigure Chloe's face.

Nicole was underaged and drugged during that time. She was hardly a willing participant and committed no crime. Paul Mendez was the one who committed the crimes in this instance.
 
Thanks, JS, was about to post the same correction. Also, it was no "accidental" nearly killing Kate. Vivian drugged the pilots' coffee so they passed out, plane went down, Kate did manage to survive when rescued by that fishing boat. However, Vivian undoubtably is guilty of killing the two pilots.
 
And let's not forget some of the small-time criminals who have graced the Salem scene.

The University Hospital doctor who was buying body parts from Warden Jane.

Dirty cop no. 1: Officer Bernardi who was planning to "fix" Rafe.

Dirty cop no. 2: Officer Dean who kidnapped the real Ciara because he was fed up with Salem P.D. nepotism.

Dirty cop. no. 3: the officer who was distraught at the loss of his pension, and thinking John was to blame, shot up the Brady Pub, which directly led to perhaps the greatest crime against good taste in Salem history, the infamous EJ-Sami "hate boink."

Willow Stark who was sent to burgle Bo's home and then almost accidently burned the place down.

Ford Decker the Salem U. date rapist who later ended up stuffed in a water heater.

Dirty customs official Hollingsworth who was later imprisoned in a DiMansion dungeon by RoboJohn.

Bart the faithful DiMera all-purpose flunky.

Mad scientist Dr. Wilhelm Rolf whose death in his own words, "didn't stick."

Actually it was accidental. Vivian drugged Kate's coffee so she would miss her flight so she wouldn't tell Victor the truth about Vivian's schemes. Instead Kate gave the coffee to the two pilots not drinking it herself and she boarded the plane. The two pilots passed out and Kate was left on the plane. Vivian did not intentionally mean to kill Kate or the pilots.
 
Now after the naming of the many Salem criminals, it's time to embarrass Roman Brady and all past Salem D.A.s by listing the small number of them who were actually sentenced to prison, although many of them served remarkably little time. Obviously, crime pays in Salem.

Ben Weston
Eric Brady
Ian McAllister
Dr. Richard Baker (Boo, free him now!)
Vargas (minor drug charge)
Nicole Walker (freed after a very short incarceration because of an extorted pardon)
Hope Brady (quickly freed because of her role in stopping Warden Jane's body parts racket)
Lucas Horton (freed as a reward for being a prison informant)
Nick Fallon (paroled after serving very little time for murder)
Gabi Hernandez (paroled after serving very little time for murder)
Clyde Weston, but he doesn't count because he's in prison for crimes committed far from Salem).

Xander was arrested for allegedly assaulting Jeannie T., but nothing has been said of him since. Maybe Deimos bailed him out to annoy Victor.

DiMera operative Sergio was jailed for trying to protect EJ after the tunnels disaster, but nothing more was ever heard about him. Maybe Stefano bailed him out.

Fake Rafe presumably would have received a prison term, but he was murdered in Roman's jail.

Then there are fugitives that nobody seems to be looking for: Jeremy "Touch the Sky Airlines" Horton and sometime Kiriakis gardener and morgue attendant Owen Kent.

Deimos was only 20 when he went to prison, and already had been having quite the affair with Helena for some time. I suppose it would be possible, but I just doubt he fathered Xander when he was 16 or 17, even 18. And Xander appears to be in late 30s.
