2 - 3 lbs country style pork ribs
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 envelope instant onion soup
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1 T. prepared mustard
3 T. brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
Dash black pepper
2 T. apple cider vinegar
1 tsp. celery seed
In a large skillet, brown the ribs in oil. Place the ribs in the crockpot and sprinkle the onion soup over the top. Cook on low 6 - 7 hours. Drain the fat off the ribs. In a bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and pour over the ribs. Cover and cook on low for 2 hours.
After you drain the fat, you can also place the ribs on a baking sheet and pour the sauce over them. Then place them in the oven to carmelize the sauce a little. Or put them on the grill. Be careful with that option -- they tend to fall apart.
