Replay of the end of tributes to Andre, Chad putting the pocket watch on the casket, Vivian noting they have company. In walks “Marlena” wearing a horrible hat, looks like a witch's hat to me. They all try to say private family service, but she is insisting on being there, wants to make sure he is dead, won't leave til that casket is in the ground. Stefan & Chad both try to escort her out, she is adamant, then mentions the pocket watch “he” gave her, seduced her, etc. Kate realizes that is not Marlena, it is Hattie Adams.
Replay of Carrie telling Rafe she knows he slept with Sami, who told her practically as soon as she got to Switzerland. Both think Sami, tho promising not to tell anyone, still held a grudge against Carrie for when Rafe & Carrie had their little flirtation. Carrie isn't going to squeal to Hope, people make mistakes, Rafe let her know he & Hope were broken up at the time, but that Ciara heard him & Sami talking. Carrie advises him to tell Hope, better him than an angry Ciara spilling the beans.
Roman is with Anna who wants to know who it is that he figured wrote the letter to her. He explains about John, the watermark that indicates the letter was written from Statesville prison, and actually, the warden's office.
Paul is trying to talk to John, tell him about Will going to the police with the suspicion of John making Steve sick, he babbles a bit, then Marlena arrives, end of it. Paul makes excuses, leaves.
Meanwhile, Will is talking to Hope, this is about John, he is the danger, and then he sees her engagement ring.
And then, NBC breaks in for 10-15 minutes with one of their breaking news reports.....that the other networks save for regular news broadcasts (yes, I checked) so I missed some rather interesting moments.......as later, Chad & Stefan have hauled Hattie down to the cop shop, while Vivian is bemoaning ...”why do caskets have to topple over and dead bodies fall on me? I can still feel his cold dead hand on my face. I was assaulted by a corpse”. LOL. Everything looks normal now, Viv wants to say something, Abby tells her either say nice or not at all. This makes Viv think a bit, then say that Andre was a wonderful........liar. Vile man. She leaves. Kate & Abby are left, Kate talks a bit about marrying him for business, but it became real, for such a short time. Both gals think no one realized Andre did have a good side, maybe not Andre himself. Kate lays a rose on the casket.....goodbye my husband, leaves. Abby lays a rose, just says Bye, thank you. She leaves.
At the cop shop whatever went on, Chad is leaving. Hope is there, Rafe, who takes Stefan for some questions. He notes that the security footage stops for an hour, why was that. Stefan claims to be putting in a new system, that they were testing it, and when done testing, the old system resumed. The fact that Andre was killed in that period is a coincidence. But feel free to check and investigate whatever you want. DiMera is an open book. Rafe intends to do just that.
Will & Paul meet in the square, tell each other what happened (with John, and with Hope). Both were interrupted, but Will convinces Paul they have to watch John, for actual proof, before something serious happens to Steve. Paul is wary, but agrees. Will notes that he saw Hope's engagement ring, which is just like his mother's.
Hope talks to Hattie, who managed to sneak out of the prison, and wants to sneak back in, rather than be taken by the cops. Roman & Anna come in, and there is a verbal free for all, with Hattie accusing Anna of killing Andre. Claiming she and Roman have a “connection” which he denies, saying she has an obsession. Anna runs off at the mouth right back at Hattie, even accusing her of killing Andre, Hattie denies it, and it is not long before the two are wanting to get physical, shouting, blathering, as Hope holds back Hattie, and Carrie hold back her mother.
