Outside Club TBD, Aiden is frowning at his phone. Hope runs in, apologising for being late, worries that Aiden looked upset when she arrived. He needs some information, cop to lawyer. Hope assumes it's about Clyde, this makes Aiden upset, asks if Clyde's being investigated. She mentions that Clyde and Stefano met, because DiMera is on their radar. For a second she thinks he doesn't believe her, she tries to drop it. He gets up to go, she stops him, wants to know what he meant about "cop to lawyer" earlier. Seems he needs info to discredit a jailhouse snitch (whom she arrested) to protect a client. She tells him what he needs to hear; they kiss and make up, talk about their upcoming holiday, and how Ciara and Chase are looking forward to it. Hope thanks Aiden for all he's done for Ciara (and her), how something was missing. He can't get their fight out of his head though, asks if Clyde Weston...Hope doesn't let him finish, wants a deal made now they won't talk about him. Aiden points out they did that...was that just a "word game" for Hope? Hope sees something behind Aiden, starts; Aiden turns around, looks surprised.

At Sonny's apartment, replay of Sonny taking the blame for "everything I've done to you from the very beginning." And we get the tired old Sonny's been around the world (and block) and has lived openly for a long time, but Will only had Sonny. Sonny claims he took advantage of him; he shouldn't have let them "fall into a relationship." Will proclaims he's only loved Sonny; Sonny points out that Will's two other bedmates indicate he wasn't ready to get married. Will doesn't believe it; he wanted to get married, etc. Sonny says they have to face these problems, now, not in "some future therapy session." Sonny admits he wanted to "find Paul, and sleep with him" when he found out about Will/LA writer. Will spins about this, Sonny calms him down, says he just wanted to hurt him, but didn't sleep with Paul, that would have been unfair to everyone. Again Sonny claims he wanted to get married, it was his agenda, he had asked Paul earlier (barf). Sonny wants will to admit it was comforting to jump into a long-term relationship, and feel "normal." Sonny wants to talk about California, how exciting the job opportunity was, how Will had declared their lives boring prior to that. Sonny had his adventure time, and if he hadn't, maybe he would have been bored as well. Will wants them to have an adventure, let T watch the Club, but Sonny says that isn't the answer. They need a new therapist, but Will also needs his own therapist to whom he can talk without worrying about what Sonny's saying. Sonny wouldn't trade what they have for the world, but they can't go on the way they have the last 6 months. He believes they can get through it.

Serena is in her hotel, speaking to Roman (at the cop shop) on her phone. She's holed up in her hotel room, and vows to stay there. Roman hangs up on her, she doesn't notice at first. She smashes Fred.

At the Kmansion, Daniel has arrived, wanting answers from Victor about Xander. Victor acts completely shocked, doesn't think Xander should be free. Daniel knows Victor freed him in Scotland, Victor he protects family, but he wouldn't have if he'd known how Xander would turn out. Xander's been obedient since then, and he cut him off after this incident. (Brady and Daniel are standing realllly close to each other in this scene.)

At the Police Station, Xander arrives in Roman's office, escorted by Abe. (Apparently it's been over 24 hours.) Roman is furious, he won't let Xander get away with what he did to his son. Abe has looked into Xander's alibi, and Xander's phone and credit card were used in Chicago during the time of the attempted murder. Abe tells him that he's still a person of interest, but is free to go. He has to stick around in Salem though. (Pity us. LOL)

At Nicole's hospital room, Nicole is dolling herself up, hears the door. Thinks it's Daniel, tells him she's almost ready. It's Eric, who wants to talk about how they "almost made love." Nicole tries to shrug it off, wants to put it behind them. She speaks of the healing talk they had in the crawlspace, and how now they are friends, and she loves Daniel; she thought he knew that. Eric claims he just wants Nicole to be happy. Nicole almost told Daniel, but she wasn't in her right mind. She wants them to keep it from Daniel, Eric can't lie. Nicole says they're just not telling him. Eric admits his feelings for her have come rushing back. Nicole thinks it would hurt Daniel by telling him "what we didn't do." Eric is shocked that Nicole can just "put her feelings in a box" like it was meaningless. Daniel and Brady arrive to pick them up. They're good to go; Nicole explains that she and Eric were talking about what happened, how lucky they are to be alive. Eric says he's glad Nicole is good, excuses himself; a concerned Brady follows him. Daniel remarks that he can see Nicole still cares about Eric; he invites her to his place...for good. Daniel wants her by his side; Parker loves her, she loves Parker. Daniel wants her to say, "Yes," she says, "I love you."

Xander arrives at Serena's hotel room, as she's smashing Fred. He's upset that Serena said he was dangerous, and had it in for Nicole & Eric. He tells her she's lucky he kept it vague. He orders her to "stick to facts" in the future. Serena couldn't just stand by and let him hurt the man she loves. Xander scoffs at this remark, tells her that her telling Eric about the diamonds has made his business very difficult. (Yells at her a lot, keeps telling her to shut up.) Xander assures her that their tracks are clean, the only thing not covered is her "big mouth." Promises her he'll go after Eric if Serena says anything else to the police.

In the private bench area of the Park, Brady has found Eric, says he seemed off. Offers his ear in case Eric wants to talk about "what really went on in that room." Eric admits he's confused, and that he feels strange about what "happened last night." Brady is fixated on the Xander angle, doesn't think Eric should blame himself. Eric pushes the help away; Brady asks Eric to come visit Tate before he leaves.

Nicole and Daniel are leaving, Nicole has to go back to get her discharge papers; Roman comes up to Daniel, looking for Eric. Roman wants to warn them about Xander. Daniel is flabbergasted that there's no case against Xander; Roman asks him to tell Eric about Xander. Daniel is upset, Nicole comes back and asks what's wrong.

Victor is telling an underling on the phone to make sure there's no trail between him & Alexandros. Conveniently, Xander calls from a burner. Victor tells him he doesn't want a connection between them, Xander promises to keep him out of it. Victor doesn't want anyone finding out he's connected to Xander. The call ends; Xander stares at something (looks like a SIM card from the phone) he takes from the phone.

Serena has found Eric, in the private area, wants to talk about Xander.

At the Nurses Station, Daniel tells Nicole he has something to tell her, of course a nurse runs up and says Dr Rich needs him to talk to an agitated patient, leaves Nicole alone. Xander comes out of the elevator.

Good writeup, Jason. Thank you. Xander is such a creep, and why is Eric so insistent on telling what they didn't do? Hmmm. And who came up to Hope & Aiden (Clyde???)
Will is for sure a lost cause. He is probably so relieved Sonny is talking of how he should not have asked Will to marry him so soon. Arrrgghhh. And now he will probably tell anyone who will listen how the marital problems are all Sonny's fault. sigghhhh.

We don't see who it is (like Kate/Lucas on Wednesday). I'm betting it's Clyde...but not much, LOL. Hope & Aiden are on a merry-go-round for sure...but did anyone else think it was odd that they had this "happy" moment talking about something missing...?? Just seems out of character for them both.

I will say I was surprised by Sonny's final conclusion that Will needs his OWN therapy. But I'm still disappointed he didn't walk away from that train wreck. It's also still hard for me to swallow the Paul-proposal backstory addition. However my guess is Sonny is laying on his own blame thick in order to keep Will from flying off the handle.

Daniel is too all over this show!! Victor doesn't want Dan to know about Xander, Roman asks Daniel to relay a message to HIS son that is basically OFFICIAL police business. ARARHAGHHAGHH!! LOL

I can't enjoy Brady and Eric as brothers anymore, either. Every time they share a scene, I think of Brady spitting venom at Eric because of Kristen, and I can barely listen. LOL

I called it. Sonny pretty much absolved Will of all his wrong doing and blamed himself. It's primarily his fault that Will fell into bed with two other men while married because Sonny didn't give him a chance to sleep around before pushing him into a relationship.

What the hell kind of logic is this!

I can't even give my thoughts right now on the rest of the show (which I got to watch live today) because the horrendousness going on between Will and Sonny sucked me dry.

Sourpuss Eric was really on form today -- bothering Nicole with his obsessions about what they "almost did," practicing his best sour frowny-face expressions, and finishing up by barking at the hapless Bluebird. If Hollywood ever wants to make a movie called the "Misery Games," Eric would be a natural. Elsewhere, it couldn't have been a good day for Melinda Trask when she realized that the Salem P.D. didn't have enough evidence to hold slimy Xander. Her mood would have been even worse had she known that over in the Town Square a member of the Salem P.D. was giving a defense attorney information that will help him discredit a prosecution witness. Finally, Xander probably wasn't too worried when Abe said to him: "We've got our eyes on you," considering that the Salem P.D. has had its eyes on Stefano for years with no results. Xander should be more worried about Victor having his all-seeing Kiriakis eyes on himself.

Hope and Aidan: I have to say that I didn't care for some of the language used in these scenes. I mean it was bad enough that Hope said HIS name then Aidan repeated it. Then they both mentioned it again. I mean it's summer time so there are probably innocent ears hearing this kind of language. Will somebody PLEASE think of the children?

Will and Sonny: Finally we got a real breakthrough and these two are moving forward and it will be sunshine, lollipops, and unicorns from now on! Ha! Sorry writers I may have been born at five thirty in the morning but it wasn't THIS morning. No sir! In fact those scenes made me think of something I saw a bison standing over when I took a field trip to my local zoo when I was a young lad in kindergarten.

The romantic guitar music they tried to lull us with notwithstanding we know what the real takeaway of that discussion was for Will. It was "Everything is Sonny's fault he admits it and then he thought about cheating on ME with Paul. How could he do that?"

Well I agree that Will does need individual therapy... and today Will was possibly the most watchable he's ever been for me. There was only one moment where he went to throw his toys out of the pram and leave but changed his mind and continued talking like a normal person. He wasn't whinging, he wasn't trying to manipulate anything, and he wasn't trying to hang on to Sonny's leg while Sonny tried to leave or pawing at him, so its all progress... shame Sonny had to smoke the crack that is suggesting its all HIS fault Will decided to cheat in order to make that happen. I'm going to assume as someone up thread suggested, that Sonny is just saying in order to get Will to discuss it calmly and accept the suggestion of therapy.

Are Hope's red and blue nails the only indication that its a major holiday in the US? Or will they acknowledge it Monday? Is it that hard to throw some picnic blankets down at the park and get the kids on set for an hour to pretend to be happy?

Other than Brady's conversation with Eric he was useless today. Tailing Daniel around and trying to look menacing... doesn't he have a nanny to propose marriage to or something? The convo between Brady and Eric was nice but should have been more - after what happened wit Daniel and Kristen both of them should be closer to each other than to Dan. And they are brothers! It makes way more sense for them to be close and to confide in each other than for them to both be kissing Dan's behind constantly.

I can't believe Fred the elephant is no more. So sad :(

So Sonny blames himself that Will had affairs while they were married.
That doesn't make any sense at all. That would mean everyone would have
to have sex with several people before they found someone to marry.
Nope, that's not a good thing at all.

I hope Will decides to see his own therapist. He really needs one since
he's Sami's son.

I think Daniel asked Nicole to move in with him. Nicole needs to
remember she's in Salem because one day I'm sure Daniel will find
out what really happened in the crawl space.

Xander is out of jail. Run, everyone, run.

Victor better keep his fingers and toes crossed Maggie never finds out
how involved he is with Xander.

...So Sonny blames himself that Will had affairs while they were married.

I don't necessarily think that's what Sonny means. But it definitely would have been a good idea for Will to spend more time SINGLE, mingling, dating (with or without sex), adventuring, etc., before settling down. Any 1950's hygiene film would tell you that. Heck, some wise poster who fills in writing threads now and then even said that about three years ago when it was obvious they were going to pair off Will & Sonny. (What was that poster's name? LOL)

...... doesn't he [Brady] have a nanny to propose marriage to or something? ...

:rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Daniel is too all over this show!! Victor doesn't want Dan to know about Xander, Roman asks Daniel to relay a message to HIS son that is basically OFFICIAL police business.

THIS!!!!!!!!!! I am SO sick of this guy!!! Can't they just terminate his contract once and for all? Fans are sick of him too if you read the social media posts. And why the hell is he confronting Victor with his minion Brady when Roman and Abe should have been doing that? And they were ridiculously close together in that scene. Every storyline still manages to have Daniel at the center of it--Roman asking him to relay info to Eric and Nicole suddenly loving Daniel so much all showcase this. MAKE IT STOP!

Nicole looked amazing and that duffel bag was to die for. Yet it was an awfully large duffel for someone who was in a hospital gown only for likely less than 24 hours LOL.

I am glad that Daniel did not propose. I hope he doesn't get the chance to either.

I fast forwarded Will and Sonny.

Nice to see Serena in jeans. I'm curious about what she is going to tell Eric.

I too would like to see more Brady and Eric and less Brady/Daniel and Eric/Daniel. I would be even happier to see Eric have other confidants such as Sami, Roman or perhaps Jeannie T. Maybe she can return the favor for all the support he is always giving her. It's too bad none of his 3 sisters are in Salem but I'd settle for a one sided phone call.

I really think Eric and Nicole are getting different writers/producers than everyone else. Night and day from everything else we are seeing right now with the exception of the Abigail triangle.

Ugh this show today was so bad that I started just browsing online. BORING!! Too much idiocy coming out of Sonny's mouth, too much Daniel, too much of Eric obsessing over Nicole. On the bright side, Serena and Will were tolerable today, but only because they didn't really have much to do/say. Oh, and Xander and all that crap is SO dumb! Why is he still in town? I like Brady and Eric talking as well as seeing Victor, Roman, and Abe, but this storyline is just so foolish.

That's true Jason. I guess I thought that since Will had sex with two other people.

Good call about Will and Sonny.

I'm no phone expert but I'm at least as smart as the writers when it comes to them...LOL...they mentioned SIM card, so I assumed that's what he kept. Wouldn't there be a record of who was called that could be traced using the SIM card? But it could have been something to overtly record it as well. DEFINITELY going to be used for blackmail, no question! Either way I'm definitely on Xander's side as long as he plays nice with the women folk. This dark Victor hiding things from Maggie junk is on my last nerve.

The SIM card is a memory card. It's the same type of card you'd use in a digital camera to store your photos.

I'm annoyed with Victor for the way he praises Dan the Almighty over all his flesh and blood. He wouldn't hesitate to throw Xander or even Justin under the bus if it meant protecting his precious Daniel. Even in dialogue, he mentions Daniel's name before his blood relatives. It is sickening! I know Maggie does a similar thing but at least she still speaks highly of Sarah and Melissa.
