Kate/Daniel

The feelings that I am getting is that this Kate/Daniel thing happened a long time ago. It doesn't seem recent. She has had this kind of resentment attitude towards him since he first came back. But, she should have told Chelsea about it when Chelsea admitted her feelings about Daniel.

Actually it makes more sense for Kate/Daniel to have happened recently. First, Kate and Daniel's meeting was very clear they did NOT know each other when they met. Kate was also pushing Daniel to Chelsea at the time. If they had an affair years ago, why would she have pushed Chelsea to him earlier and then why would it bug her them dating now? Also, if their affair was years ago, why would that have pushed Kate to ask Daniel to NOT operate on her? What difference does that make?

As for recently, we know Dan told Chelsea he was seeing a woman on the side which was the same time that Kate switched positions and was now not liking the idea of Chelsea and Daniel. She also was fairly angry to Daniel in the hospital...it probably was because she got dumped for him to dump her granddaughter who Kate now realizes can get hurt.

Lastly, even if the affair was years ago, Daniel's obtuse attitude in not caring for Chelsea's feelings seem callous and IMO he comes across worse than this than Kate, who was never one to let a "hunk" go unused. If Chelsea wasn't going to pursue him (and remember she kept telling Kate she wasn't) then I can buy Kate chasing him herself. It's Daniel who seems uninterested in how this whole thing would affect Chelsea and that makes him a huge creep (which he already was one).

Maybe, but as for the woman. . . he said she was married. I was assuming that he had started developing a thing for Lexie because of the way he was flirting with her, maybe hoping that focusing on her would take away his feelings for Chelsea.

I agree that maybe it's a way to rekindle old feelings between Caroline and Victor. Hopefully they won't write him off the show! Someone needs to put Philip back in his place. (Please don't throw stones) Actually, I know some of you aren't fond of the Lucas/Chloe storyline but.... I think it's kind of growing on me. I don't get to watch the show but I depend on all you for information on Days. They could be the next super couple like Bo and Hope. Obviously the relationship between him and Sami isn't going very far. He deserves to be happy for a change instead of being Sami's puppet.

He NEVER said she was married. Chelsea asked if she was, and he told her (hilariously) it was none of her business. He simply said she was "unavailable" which meant she wasn't available for a full fledged relationship.

My bad. . .I was remembering Chelsea's comment and the fact that Daniel had been very friendly towards Lexie. . .just put two and two together and guessed that he was talking about Lexie.
 
How old is Kate? If Chelsea is about 22 ish and Billie had her with Bo at around 20 something, how old is Kate? Just curious, its bugging me.

It is hard to tell since characters on Days age very quickly. . .I mean look at Bo and Hope's daughter. . .yesterday she is 2 and now she is what. . .4 or 5?

I don't think Daniel explicitly said that she was married. He said the woman he was seeing was "unavailable". Chelsea assumed that she was married, but Daniel neither admitted this nor denied it. Dan was certainly showering Kate with compliments during the first few weeks about her having a "great body". So, around that time, he may have gotten involved with her.

I think the question is why Chelsea proceeded to chase after him even though she knew he was involved with someone?

Kate's probably in her mid-fifties since Billie and Austin are probably in their high thirties. Kate said that she was a "VERY young mother" back in those days. So, she probably had them when she was still a teenager (i.e. 16-17).
 
I think the writers have been going from one scenario to another in the Daniel/Chelsea relationship. Kate showed no resentment for Daniel even when she went to him for the abdominal pain. Unless he "took" her on the exam table (like Lexie and TEK) there was no other time for them to have been intimate. I think they were going to go with his having an affair with Lexie and changed directions, maybe after realizing that Abe and Lexie's marriage didn't need yet another Lexie affair. Then, they went back to Daniel and Chelsea and before we knew it, the friction between Kate and Daniel came out of nowhere. This whole storyline is badly written and seems to be just a hodge-podge with the story changing daily.

LOL... An occupational therapist differs from a physical therapist in that the occupational therapist is focused on upper body movement and the physical therapist on lower body movement. Both are doing "physical" therapy in the exercises they prescribe. I think because of the separation in specialty the occupational therapist got named because arms and upper body movement are required for most occupations, just a theory. Some activities need both upper body and lower body movement, such as a person walking with a walker. Also occupational therapists are called in to assess the need for safety equipment such as tub seats, grab bars and also work with adaptive equipment such as special eating utensils, shoe horns grabbers, and devices to button your shirt.

I could picture Chelsea practicing her occupational therapist "in training" skills on Victor now that he has had another stroke.

:clap: and :rotfl: I loved the part about sewing Kate's legs together - that's hilarious! I would love to see Chelsea slap Kate over & over again!!!!!!!!! She probably didn't hear enough of the conversation to know what they said, but when she does find out; I've already said I hope she forgives Daniel but not Kate!!!!! I agree it could have been that night or how about the night he was out with his male colleagues doing shooters. Remember, he got a call and told them he'd meet up w/them later. They both told him to be careful - I was afraid he'd be in a wreck. However, it was probably Kate calling w/a proposition!!!!! (If it wrecks his and Chelsea's relationship, he'll wish he never left!!) Also, remember both the guys he were with thought Chelsea was :hot: - one even tried to pick her up and Daniel bet the other she wouldn't agree to it (we didn't hear the bet) - just saw him giving Daniel the money and saying you were right!

I am a big Dansea fan - obviously and foremost, but I also like Chloe w/Lucas and EJ with Nicole. However, where does that leave Sami? I like Sami, but she unwittingly did this to herself!!!!!!!!!!!! [She'll probably pack up the twins and go visit Eric so Alison Sweeney/Sami can do "The Biggest Loser"] -LOLOL!!!

I'm sure Lucas will not go to prison. Trent is the one that needs to go there for killing his daughter's mother - his wife!!!! I actually really feel sorry for EJ - being rejected by both Sami and Nicole!!!! It will all work out in the end, but I don't want to wait for 3 months to see it all happen!!!!!!!!!!
 
But Kate is the one showing signs of guilt. Daniel pushes Chelsea away in the beginning cause he was just not ready to date after his wife died years ago. But after hooking up with her GRANDMA, Daniel is ready to pursue a carefree relationship with Chelsea?
 
I don't know much of what is going on lately, still trying to catch up and figure it all out, but do we or do we not know for sure what kind of relationship Kate and the Good Doctor had...?? Do we know for sure it involved sex..??
And...in defense of Kate, she is certainly of age, free and not in a steady relationship with anyone....why shouldn't she enjoy the company of men and if the urge so strikes to have sex with them, more power to her....I figure she is smart enough to use protection against disease etc. so why not....!!!!!

OOOPPSs...just read Monday's show....my questions seem to be answered.....!!

Victor's Family Asked for Daniel?

How is it possible that Victor's family asked for Daniel, when Victor's family (Philip and Bo) hadn't even been told yet?
 
Guess it was the mothers of two of his sons...sort of family, right?
 
This was before divorce papers were signed so Nicole would have been next of kin.

I'm thinking Caroline made the call since it happened in the pub. It would still be awkward to say you are family unless she said the father of my son needs to be seen by Dr. so and so. He is coming in via ambulance to Salem University Hospital. He collapsed at the Brady Pub... yada yada.

Not in my experience. I went to a physical therapist all 3 times I was in a wreck and got "whip lash" and one more time when my chronic neck/shoulder pain flared up. I also went to physical therapy years ago to regain ankle strength after I fractured my foot and spent 6 weeks with my lower leg in a cast. A former co-worker's young daughter goes to occupational therapy due to encephalitis and seizures.

I went to On-line Medical Dictionary http://cancerweb.ncl.ac.uk/omd/ (actually I started with www.onelook.com, and selected that dictionary because it had the best definition) and looked up both physical therapist and occupational therapist and got the following definitions:

Physical therapist - A physical therapist is a specialist trained using exercise and physical activities to condition muscles and improve level of activity. Physical therapy is helpful in those with physical debilitating illness (for example stroke).

Occupational therapist - <specialist> An individual trained to help people manage the daily activities of living, such as dressing, grooming or cooking, and regaining vocational skills.
