I hope Trey Baxter (the model/actor playing the mystery patient) doesn't plan on using the Days scenes for his demo reel. Bet he didn't know they'd edit his scenes to cut out his handsome face. Hiring an actual actor for that part was a waste. They could've used a random crew member like they did for the Salem Stalker before the reveal of it being Marlena.
 
So all of the captive patients, ED, VA, AD, JD, AV, WR, etc....are all of them like ED? Catatonic in wheelchairs? Who is feeding them? Bathing them and caring for them? Certainly not Xander or Kristen. This plot has so many holes. How did all of them get out? Xander, Kristen and Rolf were all preoccupied to get them out to safety. Were there other caretakers?

I am hoping (and guessing) JD is Jack. Will he return to Salem? If so, will he be catatonic? Amnesiac?

I did not like that the little girl playing Holly was in the scene with Kristen and Brady shouting at one another. That looked traumatic to that poor girl. I would not allow my child to be in a scene like that if they were young. Can’t believe that was done.
 
we don't know that if there were patients in those rooms with initials, that they survived. In the past, Viv was shot dead. someone gave her a shot, she got up, saw someone, said "YOU" and that was it. So she could not have been in that room, unless held prisoner. Maybe used as guinea pig, or a source of ingredient for serum.

Frankly I don't like all this Dr. Frankenstein junk....
 
Not happy with the "end" of Nicole. There was a hole large enough to get Holly out, but Eric and Brady working together could not move enough debris to rescue Nicole. Perhaps Brady could have used that crowbar to better use. And the screaming from Kristen and Sami was enough to make me fast forward.

The Baby Bonnie storyline has gone on too long. Now that Rex is in town, when will he learn that the baby is his? And, sharp as a tack lawyer Belle agreeing to represent Bonnie, when she knows it's all a scam. She should be disbarred. Ugh.

Aside from the EJ nonsense, I enjoyed this episode. Lots of history and inside jokes.

Mimi mentioning that she sets up private poker parties is funny considering Farah Galfond(Mimi) is married to a professional poker player.

The blue streak line was funny.

Of all the characters to bring back, Rex is certainly a random choice. I have no desire to revisit him or Cassie. Plus that age range is saturated with males already so why bring another one?

I felt bad for the baby actor playing Holly but she certainly was convincing.

That had to be one of the most anticlimactic Rolf returns I've ever seen. Yet he fit in seamlessly.

I enjoy the Brady/Black sibling dynamic. It will be interesting to see Rex added to the mix. I hope we don't get fake backstory here.

Where is Shawn-Douglas? Is today the last we will see of Kristen and Nicole?
 
I felt so bad for that poor baby playing Holly. Those scenes with everyone yelling and screaming were scaring her and she was even crying for her mother. This is one time when Brady was carrying her out that it would have been better to use doll in a blanket with a recording baby cry.

Also, what did Brady do with her when he went back to get Eric? I don't think there were any first responders on scene to give the baby to and it would be very unlikely that they would let Brady go back in there alone in such a dangerous situation.

So the mystery patient started the fire in Rolf's lab. I thought Kristen or Xander would put it on fire to destroy evidence after they got their patients out.

I am really tired of Sami's single minded determination to find EJ. Kristen calling her a broken record was very true.

I liked the bond between Belle and Mimi, but Belle should have told Mimi she would only take the case if she was representing her as the mother and not Bonnie. Bonnie should just leave town before the truth comes out and then Mimi can step forward and claim the baby. However, Rex is then going to find out that the baby is his. It looked like he was really taken with the baby when Lucas brought her in the pub.

Now that we know Rex is the baby daddy, can they please tell us the baby's name? I really hate baby Bonnie.

Rex being a doctor is interesting. We have needed some younger doctors at the hospital for some time now, and at least he won't be wondering around Salem like many of the residents do now.

Really all they're achieving here is telling us that no death actually matters. (We kinda knew that already, but at least in the past, they were obligated to try to explain it.)

So...why should we care that Nicole may die? She'll be back whenever the writers/producers/actress decide to bring her back. She appears to be about to die in the middle of what we're told is an actual resurrection lab. How can we sympathize with Brady or Eric over this loss?
 
People in charge of the show have ways of filming an actor without having them actually be there. I highly doubt the little girl playing Holly was there for all that confusion and noise. I don't think Child Welfare would have allowed it since they have such strict guidelines for child actors. They could have shot around her and inserted her in many scenes later. For all we know, she was crying because she dropped her lollipop. :)

Better late than never, I guess. If he is the same age as Belle, Shawn, Chloe and Mimi, he's probably pushing forty.
 
Days has needed more doctors, as they have had Kayla not only chief of Staff, but specialist in everything. In the past, all the young people became heads of corporations, without a bit of experience or education in it. Now the corporations have fallen on hard times, after gobbling up any independent businesses founded by other characters. (Countess Wilhelmina, Basic Black, Gabi Chic, etc.) I was glad to see Rex had become one, as well as his fiancee (I know who she is, but, since she has yet to be named, still a spoiler)

Me too. Apart from some good lines spoken in scenes away from the fatal warehouse, I didn't like this episode. Let me count the ways:
  • If Nicole is going to die, the writers chose a particularly cruel way for this fan favorite to depart;
  • With its limited budget, Days shouldn't try to do disaster scenes. They don't show up well on screen;
  • Why was a warehouse that was all concrete and steel burning so ferociously? Did Kristen store gasoline and black powder there?
  • Nicole wheeling her child around Kristen's dingy, dangerous warehouse seemed to be a poor parental choice;
  • A collapse that trapped only Nicole was ridiculous. If they had to do such a scene, a trapped EJ would have pleased many viewers;
  • Brady clobbering sourpuss Eric with a steel bar instead of using it as a lever in a last ditch effort to free Nicole was truly dumb;
  • Rolf's injectable secret medications being instantly flammable was absurd. If such things really were such a major fire hazard, University Hospital with its inept staff would have burned down long ago.
  • EJ-obsessed Sami was behaving like more of an idiot than she usually does -- locking up Brady was truly stupid and callous;
  • Only Xander seemed to be keeping his head as chaos broke out, which doesn't speak well for the involved Salemites.

Hear, hear. This reminds me of when Claudia left Dynasty. She had asked for a peaceful exit. They had her character burn alive in a fire.
