I can just see it. Ciara and Ben will bond while she's recuperating in the cabin. Then she can go back to Salem and wail "but he's changed" to anyone who questions them being involved.

Most Salemites would throw up their hands in horror at such a claim, but Sami would angrily reply that the only person in town ever to truly change was her darling, caring, handsome, smoochy-moochy, EJ

If Salemites want to get out their pitchforks and flaming torches and then run somebody out of town on a rail, they should head over to the DiMansion and grab Slimy O. McSleaze. This is clearly the only way to get rid of him. By now, it's clear that Salem's so-called justice system won't lay a hand on him (just like the Phoenix and EJ).
