Days of Our Lives
Thurs. Feb. 2, 2012

Madison has called Sami in for a meeting, and tells her she has decided to pull the plug on having Sami spy. Sami is not happy at all, accuses Madison of hanging her out to dry. Madison keeps explaining, assuring Sami she will get her out with no revenge on the part of Kate, but Sami is not convinced. She knows Kate will kill her. They argue back and forth, Sami knows Madison is doing this cuz of Brady, Madison admits he wasn’t too happy with the plan. Sami says Rafe wasn’t either, but it is o.k. She talks about the paychecks helping her out at home, especially since Rafe’s last paycheck netted about $.18 after deductions. Madison doubts Rafe cares about money, Sami agrees. Madison tells her she is the boss, and she is ordering Sami to quit Countess W., just tell Kate she is needed at home. Sami picks up her things, saying that would be fine if she was her boss, but she is not. Sami will stay with Kate, is officially handing in her resignation, adding …she is needed at home. She walks out, but not before adding that Countess W is gonna leave Mad World in the dust.
Madison calls someone, leaving a message that something has happened, they need to talk, call her back. Later she impatiently wonders why she has not been called back. And then we see a hand, holding a phone with the text message on it. The camera then moves up to a big huge sign. Heathrow Airport. (London)

Bo & Hope are in the bank office, still undecided about opening that box. Stefano arrives, they all go thru the merry go round of warnings, should they, should they not, bluffs, more warnings. Ah, at last, the box is opened. Stefano takes his out (the one Alice had on him) as Hope just stares at the remaining one. He again warns her about Alice not telling the family (heck, Alice did not know what was in it) and insists it is not too late to just close lthe box forever. Hope takes the envelope. Finally! Stefano leaves, warning Hope that if she cares about her family, she will not open it. She assures him that is all she has ever done. Later, Stefano holds his envelope, breathing a big sigh of relief.

At Dimansion, Nicole is helping EJ go over the debate questions, as Will sits nearby. She warns EJ about saying anything in re: getting advance questions in front of Will. EJ laughs, knows he can trust Will. Nicole has had enough, wants to know what is going on. EJ plays cat and mouse at bit, enjoying letting out bits and pieces, as he knows Nicole tried to bribe Will, who reminds her he works for EJ, not her. Nicole gets ticked, threatens to quit, unless she gets to be part of this “inner circle”. EJ finally caves, and jovially tells her about getting shot at the altar where marrying Sami, and that it was Lucas covering for his son when he confessed. She asks how he knows, EJ says it is irrelevant. (no it is not, we all want to know, too). Will is not happy about this, has been walking around, and finalling calling EJ and S.O.B. when EJ spills the beans. EJ is talking of having all the cards on the table, but Will wonders if perhaps EJ would like Will’s cards on the table. EJ is not pleased at this, but manages to circumvent the issue, and mentions the apt. he has gotten for Will. Nicole leaves the room, Will is taken aback. EJ thinks it is time Will lived his own life. He tells Will to go, pack his things, and begin his new life.
After Will leaves, Nicole returns, informs EJ of a new moderator for the debate, and questions the sports car, apt. that EJ is providing for Will. She thinks Will has to be blackmailing EJ back, and wonders what it could be.

Sami comes home to find Will all packed up, asks what is going on. Will is rather flippant about moving out, hedges a lot as she wonders how he can afford it, even with the intern job….then realizes EJ has done this. Will grins, yep. One of the perks of working for him. Sami wants to talk to Will, but he wants to get out of the apt. She begins talking of how cold, distant he has been, how mean, and just to her. He isn’t like that with anyone else, so wants to know what is it. Why is he like this with her. What did she do.

Will puts down his bags, his faces changes. You really want to know, mom. Do you?

I appreciate the summary, Poirot. Sounds like some of the stories are finally starting to move a little. Guess it's now or never, since February has arrived. For better or for worse, I'm glad Hope has finally opened that stinking box!
