We are out and about in Salem again today, replay of Jack asking Tripp if this is what he is looking for. Holding out the passports. Tripp plays dumb, but Jack says he learned from Eli that Rory was on phone to his lawyer, so snuck onto another phone, listened as he talked to JJ. Thus Jack learned where the fake passports were, and figured it would be Tripp who would be contacted now to retrieve them. He is taking Tripp down to the P.D. , and bingo, here comes Jen, whacks Jack with her computer bag, he goes down out cold, Tripp won't tell her where JJ is, but she tells him to scram, tell JJ she loves him, be careful.
Jack comes to after a while, mutters Loretta, but is quick to realize Jen is the one who whacked him, she denies it, but now comes Xander, claiming to have seen it all, yes she did, and he makes a citizen's arrest, because she assaulted the mayor. She struggles, but Jack is all for this, is taking her down now, wants Xander to help.
We have various scenes of JJ and Haley getting all hot and heavy with each other, not sure if they went all the way, as they were anxious about the passports. They are pacing, Tripp finally arrives. He tells of Claire recording them talking, and giving to Eve, but how she offered to help now. JJ says they would not be able to trust her. Alas, he came on last ferry, so they have to stay overnight til next one in a.m.
Ciara has stopped Claire from leaving, has something for her, brings out the figurine she repaired, Claire thanks her, they chat lightly. Claire gets all upset again about Tripp dumping her, Ciara mentions her mom losing her job, how kind and caring Ben is, then how they used to fight all the time, Theo, Tripp, but all in the past. They now have each other's backs, all the time. Hugs, tho Claire looks a bit guilty.
John is with Eve, talking about her job now, the tough campaign she ran, he figures it was all to get the commissioner's job so she could go after Ben. He really has it all down right, figured it out pretty well, now tells her about watching the footage outside Seth Burns office, him leaving, her going in, spending 3 minutes, coming out, enough time to find Rolf's diary. She had to have it because some one might put together the formula for Jack to get memory back, and he would go running back to Jennifer, and Eve could not have that. Eve denies at first, but shuts up, as John talks of needing it, Will's tumor, getting worse, will die. She says she doesn't have it, but doesn't say where it is, John says she knows herself only to well about losing a child, & this is 2nd time for Will. She replies no parent should have to lose a child. But still doesn't tell about diary.
Marlena is with Ben, who explains why he wants to get put under hypnosis again, he has to have missed something. Eve is so out to convict him of starting the fire, his only hope is to find who did.
She does, they go thru it all again, but there is nothing new. He comes out, is disappointed, wants her to do it again, he is missing something. Marlena says she only went thru what he saw, which is only one of his senses. Let's try something else. So under he goes, and now she is asking how he felt at various times. As he goes thru his journey back to the cabin, after getting his meds, feeling them kicking in, we are hearing panting as he runs, going past bushes and shrubs, he smells smoke, we hear the crackling of flames, he hears music, a few notes only....close to cabin, can hear Rafe & Hope, Ciara screaming. The music stopped. Nothing else. He comes out, Marlena asks him about the music, he says only a few notes, maybe 3 (we hear them). She finally leaves, call her for anything. She is believing him.
At the loft, Claire gets a call from Eve, where are you, you were supposed to bring the lighter. Claire will leave now. No, don't bother, something has come up, hold on to it for a bit.
Xander tells Jack lucky he came along, helped him, talks of being old pals. Jack comments how Xander sold him to Eve after the fire in Nashville
Jack comes into the interrogation room to talk to Jennifer (Eli has already been shocked to see her, asked a few questions, Xander answered, Eli says he wasn't talking to him, put Jen in the room). Jack will let Jen go, if she tells where JJ & Haley are. She says Jack's fault their son a fugitive. Then she will be spending night in jail. She'd rather be in jail than anywhere near him.
Xander comes into Eve's office, complimenting her on getting what she wanted. She says right now she wants one thing. She needs Rolf's diary.
