Didn't I hear or see a reference to it being 2024? What happened to them jumping a year ahead??

They've forgotten the time jump; it's back to the current year.

Yes and all of those semi work except Alex who is too young. So is Sarah though. And Kristen but she drinks bat blood to de-age.

The thing is, once a character graduates, they become ageless. They can be anywhere between 18 and 100, and that number is fluid. And don't forget to factor in SORASing for the characters who were born in Salem, like EJ, who left Salem as a baby, then returned 8 years later as a grown man, older than Sami, even though she babysat him.

Yeah, it was sarcasm on my part. In my opinion, it was a weird idea to begin with. But then so are many of their storylines.

Rachel is annoying and spoiled, but she deserves a way better mother than Kristen can ever even dream to be.

I agree. She'll make the perfect first teen death on the show.

I don't believe Kristen can get pregnant. Rolf had to make a miracle so she could have Rachel.

No, she got pregnant naturally. As naturally as one can when wearing another person's skin. Rolf helped her with Tate.

The casting of Alex has messed up all the other characters who are the appropriate age order. No surprise there

To be fair, the writers (regular or temporary) never do this well. Chase was younger than Ciara when first SORAS'd, then older a few months later. Stefan is now younger than Chad. And of course there's the Will/EJ situation. Whatever suits DUH PLOT or sometimes even just a lame joke or line.

Thanks for the summary. This episode is both downright nasty as well as dreadfully boring. I’m not sure what the scabs/writers were thinking.
