Kudos to the writers for not having Chad being the one that slimy Dario is "giving up." It would have been boringly predictable and unrealistic. There was no way that photo would even have gotten Chad indicted for killing Deimos. Charges would have required a picture of him sticking the knife into the chest of Victor's little brother. It also would have not have been believable for the feds to drop charges against the slimeball just to solve a grubby local murder. Counterfeiting and the looting of businesses through computer hacking is serious stuff and the feds wouldn't have let those charges drop. Recall that in the original Law & Order, D.A. McCoy and his cop friends sometimes had the feds interfere with a murder investigation because their suspect was a key to a larger case.
