Excellent episode, as truths are revealed. Hope is with Stefan, commenting his mother hired a good lawyer, so she has to release him. He babbles about immunity, asks about Gabby. Hope won't tell him anything, none of his business. She leaves, then is talking with Marlena, telling her that this immunity doesn't cover his other crimes & she is going to nail him. They talk of Abigail, Chad with her, hopefully she will recall all that happened to her, neither Marlena or Hope believe Abby killed Andre.
Kate is facing off with Vivian, who is denying anything to do with Leo, or Titan, etc. Kate tells her what she has learned from Paul, Vivian is still claiming she asked him to help her bring down Titan, he refused, she just took a chance, he is her masseur, that is why she was giving him money. Nope, she has nothing to do with him. And in walks Leo...you wanted to see me, Boss? LOL.
Paul knocks on Will's door, Will's opens it easily, and like all Salem males of late, is clad only in a towel. They talk about having some lunch, Will can tell him how his visit with Clyde went. Great, I will just get on some clothes. Paul says that is not necessary, he comes in, door closes, kiss, we see the towel drop, feet moving towards the bed. Later, in the afterglow, Will tells of Clyde talking of the drug that brought Will back to life, he knows nothing about it, but Rolf may have written stuff in his diary. While in prison, he was writing in it all the time. The guys wonder where it could be.
Earlier, Sonny is thanking Leo for bringing the papers over, usual small talk, awkwardness, Sonny sees Leo's phone, and a painting of his used as wallpaper. He thinks Leo is very good, should have a show, Leo says he tried, no luck, invites Sonny to his place to see more. Nope, not a good idea. They then agree to meet for lunch. (For some reason I thought Leo had come there late at night, but folks are going to lunch now????) Leo leaves.
Abigail wants Chad to tell her what happened, but he cannot. She has to tell him. Marlena comes in, is happy to see Abigail is there, promises to help her all she can, assures her that she has many who love her, will be there for her. Marlena leaves, Chad goes out to talk to her, doesn't know what to do or say, Marlena talks of getting Abby to remember herself. Chad returns to his wife, and is going to take her out, retrace all she did that night.
Stefan comes into the room where Hope & Marlena are talking, his face is pretty beat up, but no bandages, he is looking for Gabby. She is gone, Abigail is back. Hope goes out to take a call, Marlena talks to Stefan, who is bound and determined to get Gabby back. Marlena tells his Abigail is married, is with her husband. He yaks about loving Gabby, she tells him that just does not work. She is not coming back, and even if she did, it is Abigail, who loves her husband, her son, and if she remembers, won't need those alters. Marlena storms out, Stefan spots the black wig in the plastic bag. Yep, takes it, and leaves, but hangs around to eavesdrop on Hope & Marlena. Hope says her call is from the patrol car following Chad & Abby, they are at the DiMera offices.
When Leo walks into the DiMera study, that is all Kate needs to confirm what she knows, Vivian gives up, Leo has to sit there, while Viv tells of Vic rejecting her offer to work together, her desire to get back, hiring Leo, who was to get Sonny into bed. Only Sonny did not know Leo worked for Titan until after they had gone to bed. Ah, so Viv's plan to have Leo sue Titan/Sonny for sexual harassment was not going to work. Leo leaves. Viv now wants to join forces with Kate, since both would like to take down Victor. Oh, Kate would like to, but not if it would do Viv any good. Viv pesters, just think, the 2 ex-wives working together to take down Vic. She holds out her hand to shake...Partners??? Kate stands there.
Will & Paul are seated in the square, talking of Paul learning Leo was working for Vivian. Along comes Sonny, who overheard, and berates them both. He brags what a nice guy Leo is, tells how he helped him last night with Arianna, who overheard him talking of Gabi, was upset. Paul stands up, is sorry, did not mean to upset Sonny. Here comes Leo, ready for lunch. Sonny & Leo leave, Paul & Will still don't trust him.
Chad has brought Abby to the spot where Abby ran into Gabi, was told about Andre firing her, Gabi not really listening to what Abby said, as she was telling Gabi she & Chad would talk to Andre, fix it. Gabi runs off, Abby says she then went home. But she thinks about it, no, she did not go home, she went to see Andre. (we see all she remembers). She gets to his office door, hears him talking to Tony, about betraying Kate, how he hates it, but is necessary. She goes in, Andre is talking to Tony's urn. She confronts him about firing Gabi, he starts making excuses, but finally tells all. Seems Andre felt he was denied his birthright, as oldest son. Instead Chad was the golden boy. And tho Andre did everything as his father wished, while Chad did not, so idealistic, Chad was still the chosen one. Andre is in the “poor me” mode as he talks of being denied because of being mentally ill, the stigma attached, etc. He goes on and on, claiming Chad was ruining the business by being so honest and upright, that for a business to be successful, has to be underhanded at times. Abby is furious, she loved Andre, trusted him, got Chad to trust him. And he stabbed his brother in the back.
Andre continues to offer his excuses, how when Vivian came to him with her plan, he was all for it. They would run the business together, Stefan just a figurehead. Again Abby is yelling at him about betraying his brother, the business, starts to leave, is going to tell Chad. Andre grabs her, no, no, you cannot do that. He is holding her, shaking her, she cannot tell anyone, she is saying to let her go, he is hurting her. But he doesn't (not sure if he may have grabbed her throat), but she is up against the desk, grabs the urn lid smacks him on side on head, down he goes. She is at his side, saying no, no, no, calling his name, touching the side of his head. Andre's eyes flutter open, he barely whispers, I love you, eyes close head falls to the side.
Back in real time, Abby is shuddering, horrified, Andre is dead, I did it. Chad holds her.
