I miss Philip!

I would not sell Sonny short at all. Just because he comes across as Mr. Nice Guy, doesn't mean he hasn't gone through a lot to make him a "force".
And while Jay Kenneth Johnson really did fabulous work as Philip, he left of his own accord, and so far, has no interest in returning.
That said, I don't think Days ever managed to find the right female pairing for him.
 
I liked Philip being on the shady side as opposed to Sonny being more toward the "what is right" side.
They are both good actors and play their characters well!
As far as the right pairing of females with Philip......that would be me!
Ok me 30 years ago.....Oh Rew is your corner available?
