A "Days" fan on the Salem Spectator message board pointed out this fun fact about the first (Julie) and last (Stefan) words on the NBC version of "Days": "Julie got Stefan's heart, so the first and last words are connected by a heart."

I need some information. Do you know at what time Days aired in the early to mid 70s. I also need to find out exactly what time All My Children aired during that same time frame. I think that my mom and I watched All My Children then switched over to Days. I just want to make I'm remembering that right.

It would depend on what area you lived as to what time Days aired. Plus, individual networks could and would shuffle their schedules to best suit their needs. So it could've been one time for a year, then switched to another time the following year. It's not like it had a set time for every local station across the country.

As Just Samantha said, it would depend on your local affiliate, but there was technically a network schedule when the program was supposed to be broadcast. For example, the "Days" official time slot per NBC since 1979 has been 1PM-2PM, but it still aired at different times up until this week depending on your affiliate.

I have the 1997 Encyclopedia of Daytime Television, which lists the "official" network times of the soaps.

For All My Children, it is this:

1-130PM (1/5/70-7/4/75)
12:30-1PM (7/7/75-12/31/76)
1-130PM (1/3/77-4/22/77)
1-2PM (4/25/77-9/23/11)

For Days of Our Lives, it is this:
2-230PM (11/8/65-4/18/75)
130-230PM (4/21/75-3/2/79)
1-2PM (3/5/79-9/9/22)
