That is one of my favorite movies. She was so good in that role even the audience wanted to pummel her.

She made the name of the nurse so iconic, that even those who never saw the movie know exactly what Nurse Ratchett was as a person, when someone uses the name to describe another person.

I've never seen One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, but I knew of her iconic role. I more remember her from playing the evil grandmother in the movie Flowers In the Attic, made from the book back in 1987. I also remember her from the movie Firestarter (made from the Stephen King book) in 1984. What a great actress she was.

JustSam, I would highly recommend you watching One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest if you ever get the chance.

It is one of the great movies for me. It makes all your emotions "rise and shine".
