Love scenes

The love scenes do not bother me. What bothers me is the couple involved and the lousy, corny music that is played. The 80's were 30 years ago and am glad we have grown since then. Remember the Lucy & Ricky actually had twin beds? It is nothing like soft porn as that is much more graphic.

I think it does depend on the couple because when I watch this scene, I see 2 people in love in a storyline that had a very long, romantic build. Plus I see 2 actors with great chemistry.

However, when I see JJ and Eve or Sami and EJ, I see the exact opposite.

Edited to add: When Chloe asks Brady at the beginning if he found what he's looking for, she is referring to protection. That made the scene all the more sweeter.

If I wanted to watch a sex scene, I would just seek out soft porn. However, I don't want to watch a sex scene. I don't ever watch porn- don't care to watch it. However... the kissing, some kind of conversation maybe, and they disappear for a bit, then are shown in "after glow"... such as what Jason suggested- I like that. Let my imagination figure out what they did in the bedroom, I certainly don't need to see it on tv to get the idea.

And if I must see them in bed together... I don't want to see too much. Again- I have 2 children, I know how the hanky panky is done. Let my imagination have a little fun, my eyes can't unsee the images you come up with.
I agree 100%. I mean, like some others in this thread have said before about being married, I myself am not married. I just turned 20 so I feel like the sex scenes in the show are trying to cater towards my demographic, but it's just not working (for me anyway), and I don't care for it. It's... I don't know. I like when they used to do love scenes and have them start out as kissing and all that jazz, and then you would see the after glow. That's what I like. It's not too graphic, but it also shows you that the couple cares about each other, you know? I don't need (nor do I WANT) to see Melanie literally humping Brady as they "make love". No no no.

Honestly, nothing will beat "The Plane" with John and Marlena for me.

It's sweet, tender, not too graphic, and it really shows two people who are absolutely in love.
