Further info is saying he played pickleball (similar to tennis) for two hours, came home, sent his assistant out on errands, then got into the hot tub. Some are speculating if maybe he had a heart attack in the hot tub, then drowned as a result.

Matthew Perry's real life father, actor John Bennett Perry, did 3 episodes of Days. He played someone named Stuart Howard for 2 episodes in 1996, and Gov. Edward Thorne for 1 episode in 1999.
Morgan Fairchild, who last played Anjelica Deveraux on Days, played Matthew Perry's mother on Friends.

True confession. I've never watched Friends. When Leo/Matty started talking about his crush on Matthew Perry, I thought it was a made up name. I didn't know he was talking about a real person. I don't get out much.

I didn't even know him in real life, but I cried for him. He touched my heart. It's just so sad he died.

The especially sad part is that he really seemed to have gotten his life together and was doing all he could to be clean and sober at the time of his death.
