I am not sure about Shawn, but I remember that Belle was kidnapped by Sami when she was a baby. Sami pretended to by Belles mother and wanted to put her up for adoption because she knew that John was the father of the Belle when everyone thought that Roman was the father. They found Sami and Belle. It was at Belles christening that Stephino made sure that they found out that John was the father.

& Shawn Douglas was kidnapped when he was a young boy. Actually both Sami & Eric were also kidnapped as babies.
