I like "oldies" music So I thought It might be fun to see how many One hit wonders we can come up with. Song and artist.
Here is a couple to start
Wild Thing by The Troggs
Little Red Boat by Every Mothers Son

I'm was a teenager at the end of the 80's so here are a few I remember :

- Take on me, A-Ha (the video was great for that period)
- I just died in your arms, Cutting Crew
- Missing you, John Waite
- Lady in Red, Chris DeBurgh

And I also loved Debbie Gibson, who was very popular at the time, particularly : Lost in your eyes, and Foolish Beat

Yep, I'm what you call hopelessly romantic. :)

Fun fact about "Come on Eileen" is Eileen Davidson's(Kristen/Susan) husband sings that song to her. She had that on her website a few years ago. Not sure if it's still there.

Just thought of another one
Popcorn by Hot Butter
I think the flip side was ThePerculator
And yes a true One Hit Wonder is a group/ artist that had only one hit then they dissappeared Thanks for all the memories I was pretty sure we were all music lovers at heart! :D

Not completely positive if this is a one hit wonder, but I have not heard of any other songs by Sheb Wooley....Purple People Eater.

She's Like the Wind....Patrick Swayze (love that man!!!)
It Takes Two...Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock (also in the Sandra Bullock/Ryan Reynolds movie "The Proposal")

Soap opera related:
All I need....Jack Wagner
Friends and Lovers....Gloria Loring
Rock On...Michael Damian

I don't know if Eddie Murphy would be an One Hit Wonder. He also had "Boogie In Your Butt".

"Hot Child In The City" - Nick Gilder
"I Touch Myself" - The Divinyls
"The Final Countdown" - Europe
"Tainted Love" - Soft Cell

I am totally having flashbacks of the late 70's and 80's with these songs....and now I have Pop, Pop, Pop Muzik stuck in my head.

@JS...I used to have Shaun Cassidy album and his poster on my wall....Leif Garrett too.

The 70s, with Disco, seemed to have brought out a lot of One Hit Wonders, and then new wave in the 80s followed suit.

Oh yes - the first video on MTV - The Buggles "Video Killed The Radio Star"

Dee-Lite "Groove Is In The Heart"

I also like it when someone has a one hit wonder that later is remade.
Frijid Pink "House of The Rising Sun"
Shocking Blue "Venus"
T Rex "Bang A Gong"

Fish Heads, huh? How about:

Cemetery Girls - by Barnes and Barnes
Dead Puppies (aren't much fun) - by Ogden Edsl
Pencil Neck Geek - Fred Blasie

All great songs made famous by the one, the only, Dr. Demento :)
