Please end it - my ending

Rafe's only been with Sami (his wife), Kate (drunken hookup), Jordan and now Hope.
 
What I don't get is why they're making these characters so darned manic obsessive. Characters like Rafe and Nicole, who used to have fairly decent heads on their shoulders, have abandoned all good sense and reasoning and have to constantly be calmed down. The dialogue is grossly repetitive and has become irritating. Blech.
