He was in hospital not too long ago - had a "procedure". The palace is sure very closed mouth about any info, and their news people sure do not press for anything. The queen & Prince Philip have been together a very long time....72 years!!!! I remember once, long ago, they must have had a quarrel or disagreement of some kind, he left the palace & was living on his yacht! She finally went there, in person, and whatever their conversation, he went back to the palace.

This saddens me. As a Canadian, it felt like he has always been one of the family. You know -- like that great uncle you never actually met because he lived so far away -- but you always knew he was part of your family.
