08/11, Monday: 1.9/2,561,000 Daniel marvels that Kristen can actually believe Brady would ever have anything to do with her again. An emotional Kristen confesses Brady was a lifeline for her. She knows her ex is a wreck over John's injury and wants to help him. Daniel informs her she'll not get that chance: the truck they're in is bound for Salem, and when it stops, he's taking her straight to the police. Theresa sees Eve being "friendly" with Brady and interrupts. In private, she warns Eve to steer clear of him. Eve cautions her sister not to get too attached to Brady - in case her being around sparks a memory Theresa doesn't want to come to light. Later, Theresa and Brady sign their annulment papers. Paige tells JJ she's deferred Stanford for a year so she can stay in Salem. Thrilled, he embraces her. Later, Adrienne questions JJ about the wisdom of dating the daughter of the woman who's suing his mother. Meanwhile, Paige tells Eve about her decision, and Eve privately blames JJ. She resolves to break up him and Paige. Hope returns from vacation and connects with Kayla, who wants to talk once more about Aiden. Hope tenses up, insisting there's nothing to talk about. Meanwhile, Aiden continues to consult with Jennifer about the lawsuit and surprises her by asking her out. When she reacts, he's quick to reassure her it's as friends only - strictly platonic. Jennifer agrees, and later Aiden has an inadvertent cross with Hope. The attraction is instant and uncomfortable for both. He lets her know about the "date" with Jennifer and allows her to think it's romantic. Marlena tries to reach comatose John by putting on familiar perfume. She gets nothing and feels foolish, but once she turns her back, a single tear escapes John's eye.
08/12, Tuesday: 1.9/2,536,000 As the truck nears Salem, Kristen makes a final plea to Daniel. If he knows her presence hurts Brady then he needs to do the right thing and let her go. Daniel refuses. Kristen makes one last attempt to escape. Jennifer turns to Hope for support regarding Sami's war against Abigail. Hope is curious about Jennifer's "date" with Aiden, but Sami interrupts when she rushes into the police station to execute her restraining order against EJ. Earlier, EJ pushes Sami to reconcile, but she holds fast. Brady consoles Nicole about Eric, while Eric confides in Marlena about his decision not to return to the priesthood. Nicole later runs into mother and son, who greet her coolly. However, Eric saves Nicole from a purse snatcher, and he, Nicole and Marlena head to the station to file a report. At the station, they, along with Hope, Jennifer, Sami and EJ, witness Kristen's arrival - and all are stunned. Meanwhile, Brady goes to visit John and has a premonition of dread. Sonny tries to talk to Will about his article, worried he might regret publishing it. Will is convinced his mother is getting what she deserves and that he can keep Abigail's identity a secret. Abigail shows up at the apartment and asks to take a peek at the story, but Will successfully deflects. Later, he hands in his story to Zoe, the editor.
08/13, Wednesday: 1.9/2,470,000 Jennifer, Hope, Sami, EJ, Nicole, Marlena and Eric are stunned by Kristen's return. As Daniel tells his story, Sami, Nicole and Marlena's tempers flare. Hope stops them from getting at Kristen and takes her to be questioned. Nicole lays into Sami when EJ goes off to act as Kristen's attorney - and Sami returns fire when she learns from Eric that he had to turn down the cardinal's offer of reinstatement because of his hatred for Nicole. Eric laments to Nicole that if only Kristen had been found sooner, he might have had the chance to still love Nicole. Meanwhile, EJ tells a stunned Kristen he is cutting ties with her. Jennifer follows Daniel to the hospital and does her best to reconnect. However, Daniel still thinks they should remain apart. Brady wakes with a sense of dread. He finds himself at the lake, where he remembers a hot moment with Kristen. He runs into Theresa and tells her he needs to focus on the future. Later, Marlena tracks him down and tells him Kristen is back.
08/14, Thursday: 1.7/2,318,000 When Brady learns Kristen is back, he angrily rushes to the station to confront her. Marlena talks him down, making him realize he would be giving Kristen what she wants. Meanwhile, Kristen calls Stefano and asks for help. She vows EJ will pay for turning his back on her. EJ convinces Sami he's done with Kristen. Sami warns EJ he's on thin ice. After EJ sings Sami's praises to a board member, he tries to warn Sami that she and Kate are playing with fire when it comes to Stefano. But Sami rushes out, leaving EJ to give this warning to an unreceptive Kate. Will and Sonny celebrate the impending publication of Will's article. At the same time, Zoe hands Sami a copy to read. Kate "comforts" Rafe, assuring him she wants only the best for him and Jordan. Meanwhile, Jordan confides in Ben, who advises her to talk to Rafe. Later, Jordan and Rafe run into each other, and it appears as if Jordan might give Rafe another chance. Meanwhile, Clyde hints to Kate that he knows her intentions have been less than honorable regarding Jordan and Rafe. Earlier, Clyde corners Abigail and tells her he is at fault for the anger his children have towards him. As his plan to do business in Salem starts to take shape, Abigail tells Ben about her conversation with his father - and Ben flares.
08/15, Friday: 1.9/2,432,000 Sami is furious when she learns Will wrote the scathing article, and she confronts him. Reeling, Sami can't believe he would do this to her, but Will says she gave him no choice. She warns he will regret ever writing it. Later, Zoe orders a change to the article, revealing the unnamed mistress - Abigail Deveraux. Earlier, Sonny and Will celebrate Will's story, and Adrienne stops by. She learns about Will being published and nearly lets the cat out of the bag that Victor is the publisher of the magazine. Later, Sonny worries about Will finding out he had a hand in getting him the job. EJ warns Kate that Stefano might be gunning for her and Sami. Kate rejects this, but it's clear EJ has hit a nerve. Later, EJ gives the green light to his new business. He runs into Rafe and can't help wondering if his breakup with Jordan was about Sami. Rafe balks, and EJ realizes Jordan dumped Rafe. Ben learns Clyde spoke to Abigail, and he's angry. Abigail thinks people do change and that maybe he should give his father a chance. Later, Ben seeks Clyde out and tells him to leave Abigail alone. Clyde agrees, but only if Ben will agree to give him a chance to prove he has changed. Earlier, Clyde tells Jeremiah it's full steam ahead with their "business." Adrienne and Abigail talk about her affair with EJ. Abigail assures that EJ is in her past. Earlier, Jordan listens to Rafe, and while he apologizes, he just wants the two of them to try to work things out. Jordan can't make any promises, but Rafe just wants her to think about it. Later, Jordan runs into Abigail, who determines Jordan's issue with Rafe isn't about love, but trust. Abigail thinks if the love is still there, they shouldn't throw it all away.
