First Week of Season 50 of DAYS

Monday: 1.9/2,473,000
After months of bitter estrangement, EJ and Sami finally make love again! Kristen and Chad reunite - and bond over their animosity towards EJ. Kristen advises her little brother to make sure he enacts his vengeance with stealth. Abigail confronts Ben about the cash she saw him give to Jordan. Ben maintains it's not his place to tell her about the money. He points out Chad's return has got Abigail doubting him, and she reassures Ben they are on solid ground. Later, Chad apologizes to the couple. Although Abigail accepts his apology, Ben clearly still has doubts about Chad's sincerity. Daniel tells Marlena and Brady the window for Kristen's drug to work on John is quickly closing. Brady goes to confront Kristen about her drug being just another lie. She insists it will work, then dangles the truth about what really happened the night John was attacked. Meanwhile, Eric is twigged by Theresa's deep interest in John's fate. He later joins Marlena at the hospital, where she prepares to say her final goodbye to John. At the same time, Daniel runs into Theresa and shares his suspicion that she was the one who attacked John. At the hospital, Marlena and Eric are present when John finally starts to wake up!

Tuesday: 2.0/2,726,000
Daniel confirms to Marlena, Eric and Brady that John is indeed waking up from his coma, Theresa privately fears John will reveal she's the one who put him in the hospital. She seeks advice from Eve, who doesn't want to get involved. Eve does, however, urge her baby sister to get more information before freaking out. Meanwhile, Nicole tries to persuade Eric to back out on the deal he made with Kristen. Eric blows off Nicole and tells the D.A. that he is not interested in pursuing charges against Kristen. Later, a triumphant Kristen rubs Eric's rejection in Nicole's face but privately concedes that saving John's life may not be enough to get back Brady. However, Kristen knows exposing Theresa's secret just may do the trick. JJ tells Jennifer and Abigail that he was drugged at the party. Jennifer believes her son is innocent but bristles at the fact that Daniel knew about this and didn't inform her. She confronts Daniel and shuts down any opening they might have been exploring to reconnect. Meanwhile, JJ confides to Abigail his belief that the drugging was intentional - and he thinks Theresa is the most likely culprit. Meanwhile, Eve confronts Paige about what happened at the party, but Paige dismisses the incident as a joke and refuses to show her mom the incriminating photos of JJ and Jill. Eve tries to double down on her plot; but it comes close to backfiring, and she's finally forced to drop the issue.

Wednesday: 1.8/2,290,000
John wakes up and recognizes Brady. However, John is still weak, and Daniel advises Brady not to press his father for any answers about the night Brady supposedly hit him. Meanwhile, Kristen amps Theresa's worry that John will expose her. Later, Kristen expresses her confidence to Stefano that all is going according to plan, then shows up at Daniel's to get a report on John's condition. She's thrown when the doctor makes a plea for her to give up her pursuit of Brady - for her own sake. Kristen deflects this attempt by insinuating that Daniel wants her for himself. At the same time, a desperate Theresa enters John's room with deadly intent. EJ confesses to Sami that he knew since the day of Kristen and Brady's wedding the full extent of his sister's plot to ruin Eric. EJ is grateful when Sami forgives him. Later, Sami gets Marlena's reluctant blessing when she informs her mother of her reconciliation with EJ. Will admits to Chad that his editor wants Will to write an article on him. Chad is hesitant, but after a run-in with EJ, Chad calls Will back and says he'd be happy to share his thoughts and feelings on what it means to be a DiMera. Hope gently breaks the news to Caroline that she can no longer wait for Bo to return home. She is filing for a divorce.

Thursday: 1.8/2,359,000
Theresa is about to kill John in his sleep but is thwarted when he awakens. Brady returns, and he and Theresa are thrown when it becomes clear the last few months have been wiped from John's memory. Theresa is secretly relieved and realizes things could work out for her as long as John's memory doesn't return. Caroline is saddened but understanding about Hope's decision to divorce Bo. However, Aiden arrives and slips about his date with Hope. Caroline reacts with fury, and Hope leaves upset. Kate realizes Sami's done the deed with EJ, and she gives her hell about it. Later, Sami enters the DiMera living room to find EJ has created a romantic tableau in which he asks her to re-marry him, right then and there. Sami points out they're already married, but EJ wants to do it over again - and this time, both of them will go into it with love in their hearts. EJ slips a new ring on her finger, and they exchange new vows. Earlier, EJ encounters Abigail and says he's glad they both have a chance at happiness. A curt Abigail tells EJ her life is none of his concern, and the next time he sees her, to just walk on by. Chad overhears Clyde ask Ben if he gave the money back to his sister. Now knowing where the money came from, Chad attempts a half-hearted apology, which Ben doesn't accept. Abigail arrives and later asks about the tension between Chad and Ben. Ben doesn't want to talk about it, and eventually things take a romantic turn. It starts to heat up, but Ben backs off, not having a place to take Abigail where they can make love. At the same time, Chad receives a call from Stefano who is disappointed Chad and EJ haven't buried the hatchet. Stefano asks about Kate and if Chad told her what Stefano instructed him to say. Chad informs his father he did, and she seemed to buy every word. Kate and Clyde go out to dinner, and he makes her a proposition.

Friday: 1.8/2,311,000
Clyde meets with EJ and a DiMera henchman to give EJ his cut of Clyde's profits. When Clyde proposes expanding his drug territory, EJ sternly tells him no. Clyde appears to go along with this but later meets privately with EJ's man and proposes an end run around EJ. Sami confesses to Lucas that she and EJ have reconciled. Lucas is unable to bring himself to give her his support. EJ returns home for a warm reunion with the kids. Sami takes the kids out, and EJ stays home to work. In town, Sami meets up with Kate and won't allow her negativity about EJ to ruin this perfect day. Back at the mansion, EJ is stunned when his mother, Susan, unexpectedly shows up on his doorstep! Chad tells Kate about his father's plan - and assures Kate he is actually on her side. He confides his anger and bitterness over the lack of support Stefano's given him. He resents his father using him to his own ends and wants both Stefano and EJ out of his life. Kate is right on board. Later, Clyde reiterates to Kate that they could make a formidable team. Kate is intrigued. Chad encounters Jordan and uses his charm to cheer her up. Rafe sees them together and privately warns Jordan to steer clear of anyone named DiMera. Jordan bristles. Sonny tells Will he's only seen Chad briefly since his return but can't fight the feeling that Chad has somehow changed. The guys then give Ben some good-natured grief over his obviously strong feelings for Abigail. Earlier, Jordan joins Abigail as she watches Arianna, and they catch up about Rafe and Ben. When Abigail mentions Clyde seemed genuine about reconnecting with his children, Jordan visibly stiffens and puts a quick end to the visit. Later, Will tells Abigail he might be writing an article about Chad's return and promises he won't let Chad throw Abigail under the bus in print.

Wow, Days really lost viewers, didn't they? They had a big jump on Tuesday when John was waking up....
thanks, cryin.....

P.S. Wonder what Ken Corday, and his "committee" think of these numbers (after that interview Corday gave)

DAYS can't break 2.5 million viewers anymore. The lock, stock, and barrel "golden couple" making up again brought in a whopping 1.9; now that's sad! They devoted all their time and energy, not listening to the viewers, overexposure of this couple for this!

I'm happy GH is holding their own, now that's a soap with everything wrapped up in a neat package that a viewer can watch and get interested in!

I think that the Today Show is listed because it's the only Network morning "News" show that goes into extra hours after the initial two hour news show ends. CBS and ABC morning news shows air from 7am to 9am eastern. The Today Show goes on and on and on...

True about the Today show. LOL
But the problem I have is that some shows are shown at different times across the country, so the shows "opposite" on other networks differ.

Case in point (not daytime). In PrimeTime, BlackList is on opposite Castle. I watch Castle at that time, but if/when they rerun that BlackList episode on a Friday or Saturday, I definitely watch it then. So, in the same week, I have watched both shows, and not via DVR or tape.

Why are Good Morning America and CBS This Morning not on this list? GMA gets higher ratings than its competing hour of the Today Show, which would be...Hour 1? Maybe that explains it.

I'm going to make a spreadsheet showing the rise & fall of the ratings...sometime...soon. (I'll put it on for this weekend but it may take me awhile to get the data together.)

Wow, even by adding other daytime programming, Days is still almost at the bottom of the list. Even the Chew and the Talk beat Days in the ratings except for in the 18-49 demographics. At least the other soaps are at a fairly decent rating compared to the other daytime programming.

That is probably correct; the 1st hour is the 7:00 am "news" hour; then 2nd hour is the 8:00 am "current events and guests" hour, usually with celebrity guests; the 3rd hour at 9:00, is the "chit-chatty" light topic hour and 4th hour at 10:00 (which is often shown later in the day in some areas) is the booze filled hour with Kathie Lee and Hoda.
