Sami and Abby

What is done to her, all EJ has to do is tell her how very sorry he is, that he would take it back, do it over, go back in time, etc. etc. and her pout turns into a smile and all is o.k. in Sami's world. So..their life life goes on in the pattern in which it has for the past few years.

That "pattern" is often referred to as Battered Wife Syndrome. There are all kinds of battering: abuse takes many forms and EJ uses manipulation, psychological abuse, charm, "manhandling", denying love and basically emotional abuse, and lying, as his regular mode of operating. Right now they are going through the "honeymoon phase" of the syndrome. Sami must be left in a total state of emotional paralysis, doing more ridiculous things to prove to herself that she is tough and independent when she isn't. If she doesn't smile, she has to look at the truth which is too hard to do.

It is irrelevant, really, isn't it. There's no reason for them to be friends after all that's gone. And I would think Abigail would want to steer clear of Sami.

Of course Abby would steer clear of Sami. As I said, this was meant to be sarcastic since Sami was pretty quick to forgive EJ and hop back into his bed.
