At Dimera mansion, Lexie tells EJ that Johnny's eye isn't ok while Rafe hovers outside the door anxious for an update from Lexie. In the living room, Lexie advises EJ that Johnny needs to be see an ophthalmologist right away. EJ wonders why & Lexie explains that with Christmas coming, why wait until after the holidays if she can do it today. Lexie gets off the phone & goes to get Johnny's coat. She returns with EJ tells a fidgeting Johnny that the doctor's not going to poke him. Lexie tells him it won't be for very long. EJ tells Johnny that he can get a lollipop afterwards but Johnny only wants his mommy. As they leave, Rafe is standing outside and Lexie apologizes for not keeping him updated & tells him they're taking Johnny to the hospital while Johnny is yelling he wants his mommy. Johnny keeps yelling he wants his mommy & EJ can't calm him down. Rafe offers to get Sami and meet Johnny at the hospital and he agrees, leaving EJ seeing red. EJ asks Lexie to take Johnny to the car and EJ tells him that he's grateful for Rafe telling him about Johnny's eye but that's all the thanks he gets.
Chloe returns to the apartment to find Philip leaving & tells him she did the best she could to deter Daniel from telling Melanie but was unsuccessful & he's now looking for Philip. Maggie comes out of the apartment with Parker for a walk & leaves the pair alone to talk. Philip explains that Daniel saw Philip with Sabrina at the Pub & that's why he's assuming that he cheated on Melanie. Chloe clarifies to him that Daniel told her that he could see Philip was lying by his eyes and Philip responds that he still feels guilty about what happened between the two of them but it's not a reason for her to take the blame for it because of Parker. Chloe tells Philip that Stephanie knows. Philip wonders how Stephanie knows about him & Chloe has no idea. Maggie comes back with a crying Parker & Chloe tries to comfort him. Maggie offers to put Parker down once he's fallen asleep. Once she's out of the room, Chloe & Philip talk further but gets interrupted when Daniel calls Philip & tells him he needs to talk to him. Philip leaves to meet with Daniel & Chloe asks Maggie to watch Parker for a little longer while she runs out on a short “errand.”
Daniel shows up at Maggie's looking for Philip only to find Melanie. She starts to question if he got into a fight & eventually realizes that Daniel had a fight with Philip. She asks him what they were fighting about & Daniel replies, “you.” Melanie wonders if Philip's okay & Daniel tells her he's fine but needs to talk to her. He starts to tell her how Philip may seem like a nice guy but Melanie interrupts & say she knows what it's about & how Daniel probably talked to Victor & how Daniel's not thrilled about the two of them moving in with him. Melanie goes on & tells him that Victor is a shady guy & done some things as Daniel gets more frustrated. Melanie tells Daniel that he & Philip should forget about that & listen to her tell him why she loves Philip instead. Melanie tells Daniel that Philip is real love & not pretend love. Daniel tries to interrupt but Melanie tells him that Philip saved her life & tells him that she's not that young to have a family & continues to tell him that she's the one that's hurt Philip & for Daniel to not think that Philip will hurt her. Melanie tells Daniel about the kiss she shared with Nathan & how Philip saw but he forgave her. She tells him that Daniel and Philip are the two most important people in the world and need the two of them to be ok & hopes he understands. Daniel tells her he understands & makes a call to Philip. Later, Chloe shows up & talks to Melanie & finds out that Melanie thinks that Daniel's probably worried about them because of Victor.
At the prison, the warden enters Hope's cell with a guard. Hope wonders if the transfer is back on & if she's being shipped to another facility. The warden gets sarcastic & asks her if she's starting to hear voices. Hope talks about how the other women died as a result of having no families but she has lots of people who care about her. The warden taunts her about the letter and how Bo will think that she is a danger to herself & others. Hope interrupts & tells her that Bo won't believe her. The warden admits that the last time she spoke with Bo, he seemed concerned about Hope but as the saying goes, “out of sight, out of mind.” Hope tells the warden that Bo's not likely to forget the mother of his children & to trust her on that. The warden wonders how she can trust Hope on anything & tells her she's insane. Hope tells the warden that if someone else dies, she'll make sure the warden is exposed. The warden laughs & comments that Hope seems like she's back on the pills that got her there in the first place. The warden picks up a sandwich & tells Hope to better eat something in order to keep up her strength before leaving the cell. Hope wonders if the warden's trying to poison her. The guard comes back & asks why she hasn't eaten & she tells the guard she's not hungry. The guard tells her the warden's doing a crack down on personal items in the cell & Hope tells the guard that she doesn't have anything. The guard takes the picture on the wall of Ciara & leaves a crying Hope alone. Later, Hope is praying to God for a Christmas miracle.
At the precinct, Bo shows Jennifer the letter & explains the warden told him that Hope's had a relapse & therapy isn't working. Jennifer say that they have to do something to help her. Bo talks about his conversation with the warden & Jennifer disagrees saying she spoke to Hope & she seemed fine. Bo points how Hope spelled Ciara's name wrong in the letter. Jennifer gets worried & asks Bo if he thinks Hope is losing it in prison. Bo tells Jennifer that even if Hope has gone crazy, she wouldn't forget to spell her daughter's name & she had told him that something strange was going on down at the prison. Bo tells her that Carly & him checked out what was going on in the infirmary & several, young, healthy women with no families have died recently. Bo tells her that all the bodies were cremated & paperwork was in order. Bo deduces that Hope is onto them & the warden made her write the letter & Jennifer say that's why Hope's trying to tip him off by spelling Ciara's name wrong. Bo agrees & Jennifer asks Bo what their plan? Bo tells her there is no plan because he needs to figure it out before he makes a move. Jennifer tells Bo she understands that he's with Carly but Hope is her cousin & they need to help her. Bo tells her that once he has a plan, he'll let her know. Sami helps Allie to clean out her backpack and finds a letter and asks her about it. Allie tells Sami that they're supposed to bring cookies to school. Sami gets a mischievous look on her face and tells Allie that they should make cookies together so they can make lots of it for everyone in her class, including Johnny. Allie runs off and gets the sprinkles while Sami exclaims that there is no way EJ will keep her from seeing Johnny. While waiting for the cookies to bake, Sami cleans out Allie's lunchbox to find Johnny's raisins and a note still in there. She questions Allie about this and Allie tells her that Johnny wasn't in school that day. Sami wonders why and Allie shrugs she doesn't know.

Gabi tells him it's ok & it's good to focus on other things & being able to help others make it better to cope. Will tells her she's a really good person & they kiss on it. Later they return to the loft & find that Sami's not there. They discuss & wonder if Sami knows about the wedding pictures. Will tells Gabi how strange it is that they're not saying anything about it to Sami just as she walks in with groceries & Allie in tow. Will gives Allie a high-five & starts to help Sami with the groceries while Gabi helps Allie with her coat. Sami wonders about what is it that Will doesn't want her to hear & he tells her it's something for Christmas. Sami tells him then she'll pretend that she didn't hear it or that it has something to do with pictures. Sami tells him that they're not going to take any family photos until they get Johnny and Sydney back. Sami then asks Gabi how the wedding pictures turned out. Both Will & Gabi hem & haw & Sami wonders why. Sami sends Allie to her room & will go in to help her with her homework in a bit. Once Allie's gone, she questions Will about the pictures and eventually confesses that Rafe told them not to say anything. Sami flips out & starts ranting & if something is wrong with Johnny. Allie yells from her room & Sami goes to help her. Rafe returns home and Will gives him a quick update about Sami & how she knows about Johnny's eye. Rafe reassures him that he was going to tell her anyway as Sami walks out obviously angry. The kids leave & Sami starts in on Rafe who tells her that Johnny's at the hospital. They both leave for the hospital while Will and Gabi to watch Allie.
At the hospital, Dr, Kent finishes checking out Johnny's eye. The doctor tells him that more tests need to be completed under general anesthesia & Lexie gives a concerned EJ the consent form to sign. Johnny starts to act up again & yells he wants his mommy while Lexie tries comfort him. The doctor, Lexie & Johnny leaves to do more tests. Sami comes running in wondering where her son is. EJ lays it into her about how she was at the house & was trying to figure out a way to get back into Johnny's life & blames her for what Johnny's going through.
