Interesting articles, worth reading.
Having the actors use their real life husbands/wives for love scene "doubles" makes sense. In the movie Fireproof with actor Kirk Cameron, when he had to passionately kiss his on-screen wife, they used his real wife for the scene and filmed it so her face wasn't clearly seen.
I think the funniest part is B&B will also use blow-up dolls and dummies for sex scenes too.
