Budget! They can't show water in front, etc. & won't shoot outdoor, or use old stock footage. No one talks any more of fishing, or sailing, etc. Remember the Fancy Face, they talked of it all the time. Grampa Brady also used to always be fishing, it was his livelyhood.
Currently, everyone is super white collar, CEOs without even a year of college, let alone a degree. Heck, they practically become one right out of high school.
Yep, that waterfront doesn't exist in Salem any more. Notice how fast Jake went from garage mechanic to suit, tie & intent to be CEO of DiMera ...Titan, who cares.
