Wow, didn't realize Mary Beth Evans (Kayla) had been gone from Salem for 14 years.
I do remember that when Caroline "died" during the Salem Stalker storyline in 2003, Kayla and Kim were at the funeral, but never shown. They were said to be "downstairs with the children" at the church, and later "upstairs" at the pub after the funeral.
Same as when Mickey died. Sarah was there for the funeral, but never shown. She was "in the other room" and later "out in the car" ready to take Maggie somewhere.
