Episode #10,619 Taped 6/29 Director – Jim Baffico
A real yawn fest today, with most of the show taking place in Vegas. Because of the number and length of recent flashbacks included, I especially checked the credits, and no, James E. Reilly is not listed as head writer. At the Pub, Philip is talking to Billie about the crank calls he has getting of the crying baby. She promises to help, and will try to contact his cell phone server (and no one thought of that before!) to try and see where the calls originate. She goes to another table, Belle joins Philip, waiting for Shawn. He gifts her with bags full of new clothes for her and Claire. She protests slightly, tho loves them. Shawn walks in, sees Belle sitting with Philip, but stops to talk to Billie, and shows her this big diamond ring. Max gave him a huge advance, and he is going to pop the question to Belle tonight. Billie is impressed. Shawn goes over to get Belle, sees the clothes, asks where they came from. Belle cannot look at him, as she lies and says she went shopping with her mom. Shawn talks of paying Marlena back, but Belle claims she would be insulted. Phil doesn’t say a word, just smiles. Shawn goes to get the picnic basket his gramma was to make up for their night on the beach. Phil asks Belle is she questioned Shawn about the trip to Cleveland, and she admits Shawn stuck to his story. So he has a little lie, same as she just told. No big deal. Shawn returns, and they leave.
Billie comes over, tells Phil the calls are originating from Indianapolis, and does he know anyone there. Nope. She promises to find the name of the person.
At the Roberts’ apt. replay of EJ hearing the beeping noise coming from his briefcase, Lucas pushing Sami out of the way. Stupid EJ, instead of throwing the briefcase out in the hall, out the window, anything, sits down, and opens the case. Smoke rises, all ask what is that? Later, we see EJ and Lucas coming to, and Sami is missing. EJ sees the canister, says it contained ether. Roman & Bo are there in a bit, and discover the perps came in the fire escape, breaking a window. Seems the police guards received a bogus call that called off the stakeout. Yep, chalk up another victory for the Salem PD! Roman informs them of Andre’s fake paralysis (they found a syringe with a muscle blocker) and he is gone. Stefano is also missing. Lucas is having a fit, Roman calms him down, and says they will do the search, Lucas should stay put. Sami is a smart girl, and if she can, she will call. Roman & Bo leave, EJ says, at last, and now wants a reluctant Lucas to go with him. He knows how his father thinks, and what he will do, and feels that if they work together as a team, they can get the job done.
As to Vegas,:bored:, both Jett & Chelsea wonder what Nick is doing there. Jerk says he is acting weird, then leaves. Nick talks about the date he & Chelsea were supposed to have, she reminds him of the fight they had. She goes to get dressed. Nick has a few words with Jett, who says they are just friends. He leaves. Nick goes back into the room. Jeremy comes out, gets into the hot tub, Stephanie joins him. He wants to see her “little piggy”, the toe ring, she flashes back to long sequence of Chelsea telling her it was a guilt gift. She questions Jeremy, he gets mad, leaves. Chelsea & Jett go down to the casino. Nick decides to borrow someone’s clothes from a suitcase and changes clothes. Down in the casino, Max is not having much luck, leaves the table, then spots Ilsa with some guy. The fellow leaves, Max approaches Ilsa, wondering what she is doing there, She brushes him off, the guy returns, tells Max she is with him, swings at him, misses, falls on a table. Security ushers him out. Ilsa goes, too. Jeremy gives Max his big cut of the sideline profits, telling him that soon they are going to have to have an off shore account. Stephanie comes down, cozies up to Jeremy, he apologizes, she has no problem, as she knows the makeup sex will be great. (This girl has no self respect at all…..the whole thing is disgusting). They talk of having dinner with her folks, and how sweet and charming Jerko will be. Ilsa goes by, Jeremy spots her and goes after her. Max spots them both, and follows. Chelsea & Jett are sitting at the bar, watching it all. We see Jeremy talking with Ilsa, telling her to just do her job. Along comes Max asking just what job is that Jeremy? Now we see Nick making a loud mouthed grand entrance, announcing himself, how great it is to be in Vegas, and he is all ready to have fun. And yes, he is still wearing that bandage around his head, and no one asks at all. He puts money down on the blackjack table, getting chips in return.
On the beach, Belle is talking of the moon making a path on the water, sparkly bright light on black velvet. If that is not a cue, I do not know what is. Shawn hauls out the ring box, tells Belle to open it, and asks her to marry him.

I am really disappointed in the way the writers are making Stephanie out to be...I am so sure a daughter of Steve and Kayla would be so stupid as to allow a guy to take complete advantage of her and use her the way Jeremy uses her. I liked the other Stephanie's character better (not by much) because at least she was competetive, smart and seemed to have her head on her shoulders...most of the time.
