Fires in Salem seem to have odd effects. The Horton house has turned a dull gray — sort of like Everett’s personality — but there’s no charring anywhere. And where did those stray boards come from? The way things look, warm water and Lysol followed by new wallpaper and paint should have the place looking as good as new.
 
What's funny is that isn't Alice's original ornament, so it wouldn't have been given to Alice from Tom's mother. Somewhere along the line hers broke. So did Addie's. The one currently with Alice's name was the replacement for Addie's ornament. Then when Alice's broke, they painted her name over Addie's name and made another new one for Addie. And even that one was someone else's because whatever name was on that ornament was covered over with a Christmas picture and Addie's name was put on the other side.

By the way, the ornaments for Tom, Alice, Mickey and Addie are now in the Smithsonian and Days made duplicates for the tree a few years ago.

You can tell which ornaments were someone else's because the names are usually badly painted, plus you can often see glitter from the original design under the new paint job (like Doug's, Jennifer's and Bo's). Doug's, Bo's, Shawn-D's, Addie's, Jennifer's and Sarah's were all someone else's ornaments to begin with.

Also, Hope's was originally Dougie LeClair's (their ornaments matched and hers must've broken). Jack's was originally Faith Taylor's (Scotty Banning's girlfriend). Will's was Peter Blake's (when he was briefly married to Jennifer). And I think Lucas' ornament was someone else's due to the weird pink and green stripes around the back/sides of it.
