Having read Bill & Susan Hayes book, no it is not their choice to become recurring. and to remain so. However, they HAVE taken advantage of all the time off with their cruises, and actually, they sometimes are the hired entertainment on them.
Last year, they did a driving tour of the USA, and just went everywhere, north, south, east and west.
Many viewers were very disappointed after Alice's funeral, as they thought Doug & Julie would be living in the Horton house. But actually, the show was going to tear down that set......but wiser heads prevailed, and they at least kept that living room.
Do you all remember when Hope left the Horton house after the funeral, and took that one last look around? That was supposed to be the last time we ever saw the room.
Anyway, Doug & Julie are going to be around Salem a lot this month....so....it will be so good to have them back in Salem.
