You know Days is not what it used to be when:
-You'd rather watch horrible storylines you used to complain about, like EJ-Taylor and FakeRafe, instead of what's currently airing
-The show no longer knows how to keep a rootable couple together
-The show doesn't use its vets wisely; instead, it brings in boring newbies (who hog the airtime) who end up leaving the show 6 months to a year after they first aired.
-The show can't write "good guys" anymore; they're either backburnered (Rafe), boring (Jordan), or turned into sanctimonious jerks (Eric, Jennifer, Paige).
-Characters who hog the airtime take on the jobs/roles of other, undershown characters instead of doing their own job (SuperDan doing Salem PD's job)
-A once feared mob family is reduced to laughable, cartoonish plots (Stefano trying to remove Rafe's 'member'), predictably dumb and evil storylines (constant rapes), and their lead-bad-guy-you-love-to-hate-turned-Avon-lady/representative who survived two murder attempts is killed by his own flunky hired by a drug-dealing hillbilly who just arrived in town a few months ago and started dating your ex-FWB/stepmother.
-The actors who have been on the show or are currently on the show start dissing it (James Scott criticizing the EJ-Sami pairing and how EJ was turned into a wimp, Eve making fun of the porn music airing during her scenes, Daniel making fun of him being "SuperDan" and sleeping with his patients, etc).
-You come to realize you can't trust anything Ken Corday says because he does the exact opposite of what he tells us will happen on the soap.
