Today the show itself was interrupted for about 12-14 minutes for a breaking news story, and 15 minutes after it returned, I got a business phone call. So, I just am unable to do a full and complete summary today. But it is a new day in Salem.
However, in Chicago, Daniel apparently did not return to Salem, but stayed in Chicago. Chloe has brought Parker to him, they talk, and she has found all that has going on with Jen because she called Anne.
In Daniel's apartment, JJ has woken up, pulling on clothes, and warning his friends to get up, they have to leave before Daniel returns. There is knocking at the door, it is the super, who realizes someone has to be in there, as a neighbor said water was running all night long. Evidently Bev opens the door, towel on her head, telling the super she is Melanie, Daniel's daughter.
Abby comes to see Chad, he forgot a date or something with her, and they end up in bed. Later, she is dressed, promising to meet him for lunch. She leaves, Cameron arrives, with questions about the treatment Chad is getting, and some news about experimental programs in Seattle and East Coast, I think. Chad declines, tells Cam he just wants Chad out of the way, and to leave him be.
EJ meets up with Stefano in the park, claims Sami took the kids out of school this morning to spend more time with them. Stefano realizes EJ has not told her of Stefano returning, is fine with it, he is a patient man, but warns him that when he wants something, he gets it.
Cameron is at the hospital, asking Kayla if she heard of some drug being tried out here in Salem. No...but then she realizes this is about Chad. She tells Cam he is not Chad's doctor, he is being intrusive, and needs to back off.
EJ goes to see Chad, asking him to move back in DiMansion. He does tell him Stefano will be returning, Chad refuses then to come. EJ really wants him there, Chad would do anything for him,but not that. EJ notices some papers on the desk, picks them up, Chad tries to get them back, but EJ sees they are in Chad's handwriting, and concern experimental treatments. He asks Chad if he has a brain tumor.
Jen sits looking at a childish, handdrawn birthday card from JJ, flashes back to her little boy giving it to her, then folds it, kisses it. She rushes to answer the door, but it is Kayla with a box of donuts, I guess. Jen moans about JJ not coming home, how worried she is, etc. Kayla apologizes to her for Theresa, because she never realized what a huge favor it was. She mentions Theresa having to return now to L.A. as she violated her terms of probation.
Over in Jen's office, Theresa bursts in, no Jen, rummages around her desk, picking something up, in comes Uncle Roman. She tries conning him, asking for another chance, but Roman knows she has pulled that already on everyone else. He has her ticket to L.A. tonight, and gives it to her.
Later, she tries calling JJ, who is in the park, cannot help her, is not even talking to his mother. Theresa then figures she cannot rely on anyone else to help her, she has to help herself.
Daniel arrives home, gets a call from the supervisor to tell him Melanie was there. Daniel is puzzled, tries to call her cell, no answer. The supervisor comes over, when asked for description, mentions the towel on the head, dark hair, pretty. He leaves, Daniel is puzzled. Opens the chest of drawers, finds the broken picture of him & Jen, and mutters, JJ.
Anne Milbauer is at Jen's door, needing her signature on the form that terminates Theresa's employment. Jen is angry, Anne did not need to come there, could have gone to the office. Anne says she is never there (LOLOL), gets Jen's signature, and Jen asks her to leave her home. Slams the door in her face. Anne mutters that Jennifer Rose is a hard nut to crack, but crack her she will.
JJ is in the park, attempting to make a call on his cell. Someone comes up behind him, spins him around, and there is Daniel "I know what you did".
