Days of Our Lives
Wednesday, November 4, 2015

Caroline has successfully stopped the wedding, pretending she doesn't feel well, folks have gathered round, lots of small talk on the sidelines among the guests. Kayla, though has her mom's number, talks to her privately, tells her she figures she is playing a game, but she is not being fair. Caroline suddenly is sorry for disturbing the wedding, but Kayla announces that she is taking her mom to the hospital to check her over, just to on the safe side, & both want the wedding to continue. Roman assures Hope he & Kayla will take care of Ma, just go, get married, be happy.

Andre' comes to see Chad (in handcuffs, and in his snide way, tells Chad he will be a free man tomorrow, that no, he & Father don't know who the necktie killer is, but have information the necktie killer will strike again tonight, thus Chad will be set free. They argue, Chad has a fit they are thinking of having someone murdered, Andre' denies it, he lets Andre' know he heard all he said while in the coma, knows Andre' is not his friend and wanted him to stay in the coma or die. He warns he will tell everyone what Andre' said, Andre' claims he did not think Chad would react like this. When a cop takes him back to his cell, Chad wants to see Rafe, babbles about what Andre' said, but the cop (evidently on DiMera payroll) tells him to shut up or land in solitary.

Alas, Steve & Bo have run out of gas, Steve decides to go back to some abandoned gas station "back there". A car was parked there, maybe he can siphon some gas. While Steve is gone, Bo has a series of fantasies about getting home to Hope, who says it is too late, she is married to someone else, but he tells her about being held captive, etc. etc. She is all receptive to him, which is as it should be in his fantasies. Steve finally returns, and another miracle, he not only was able to siphon some gas, he even had a lovely little red gas container to put it in. Gotta say those guardian angels are working overtime.
But, guess they go take a rest, as next Steve & Bo are being taken to a cell by a sheriff, evidently were speeding or something, no phone call til tomorrow morning, despite this being an emergency, & Bo telling the sheriff to call Salem PD, talk to brother Roman, blah, blah. Sure...in the morning. A frustrated Bo pounds the cell bars.

Ciara wins a bet from Chase that something always goes amiss at a Salem wedding, he pays up. Hope & Aiden talk it over, decide to proceed with the wedding. Kayla has already asked Jennifer to take over as Maid of Honor. She is a bit perturbed that Abby has not shown up, or told Hope herself she would not be able to come.

So, over to the remote cabin where Abby is trying to get Ben to let her go, but he refuses. they are there, just the two of them, she called him strange. She tries to make him understand she only thinks he needs someone to talk to, he says he has her. He wants her phone, she doesn't have it , he gets mad, then realizes he left it at the apartment, has to go back for it. Muses that maybe he will just leave her there, as he goes out the door.
At his apartment, he finds the phone, then picks up a double frame of him & Abby, but recalls Abby telling Chad there is nothing between them, but Chad argues that is not how she felt last night, when he carried her upstairs and she begged him to keep making love to her. Ben throws the pic on the sofa. He listens to a phone message from Jen to Abby, asking Abby to call, she is worried. He texts Jen that "don't call or text me, I am fine, need to be alone with just Ben & our baby".
Back at the cabin, Abby spies a fork, cannot reach it, tries with her leg. It is a struggle, it falls to the floor, she finally gets it over to her, picks it up, uses it to work the doorknob off the door, and she is FREE. She runs to the door, opens it, and there, naturally, is Ben.

At the hospital, Caroline is in bed, oxygen tube in her nose, Kayla talking to her, Roman standing there. Caroline says she is feeling better, starts undoing her BP wrap on her arm, and Kayla gives her what for. She has not even turned on the oxygen yet, her mother has been faking, how could she do that to Hope. Caroline is looks properly chastized, has pulled the tube from her nose, as Kayla scolds.

At the Martin house, everyone takes their seats, as the wedding commences once again. Only this time, Chase is standing beside his father, with Rafe on the other side of him, and Ciara is a bridesmaid. Following Ciara is Jennifer, and then Hope appears, and they actually play Here Comes the Bride. She is joined by Doug & Julie, they come down the aisle. Aiden gazes solemnly (he is having constant flashbacks of his fantasy of killing Hope) Chase urges him to smile. He keeps these half smiles up at times. Hope arrives, kisses her dad, Julie, and Victor as before. Gives Jen her bouquet. The judge/minister starts the ceremony, says both Hope & Aiden have their own vows. Hope goes first, telling Aiden how prior to his coming into her life, she was sleepwalking thru it, day by day, but he came, woke her up. She goes on and on, mentions his handsome son, Chase, her exquisite daughter, Ciara, and how she cannot wait for tomorrow morning and them being joined together, a wonderful family. Aiden is tongue tied at that point, manages to say a few sentences about how beautiful, kind, warm heart she has. We hear those words for him from the judge/minister about "til death shall part us", Aiden says I do. Kiss!.

Over at the country jail, a frustrated Bo is pacing back and forth. No, no, no, slamming his fist on the wall.

I feel so sorry for Chad. Talk about being between a rock and a hard place. This poor guy must be feeling so trapped and desperate inside.

I fear Hope's heartache, horror and sadness will have her out of the picture for some times.

This leaves Rafe on his own, or maybe with Lani's assistance, to come to Chad's rescue with the truth. We can all witness quite a few finger pointers eat crow. Can't wait to see Justin with egg on his pompous nasty face

LOL, Robin........I was yawning.......and just shaking my head. Egads!

I will confess, I did not pay much attention, but did anyone see Eric? I just don't remember him being part of the family gathered around Caroline. I know Daniel checked her, pulse a bit fast, but don't remember seeing Eric. Lucas, Shawn (who told the teens she was fine)....

Thanks Poirot. Your summaries always increase my anticipation to see the show after work. Wow....Those guardian angels of Bo work overtime.

Just when I think I can't roll my eyes anymore at the Bo/Steve adventure, things like today's episode happen. Ridiculous.

Caroline, though... She's been my favorite thing about all of this. I hate that they've made Aiden such an idiot, but poor little Caroline :rotfl: she's adorable. Kayla chastising her at the hospital was funny, too, but the fact that poor Caroline has tried so hard to put the brakes on this wedding time and time again... I love it, even if she is only doing it for Bo.

And once again--small town cop made to look like an idiot. I agree Bo and Steve has dragged out WAY too long.

I jokingly posted in another thread that this Bo and Steve thing was going to play out like less funny version of Planes, Trains and Automobiles having seen it I'm starting to think that maybe some of Caroline's clairvoyance has rubbed off on me. :rotfl:

I gotta give Abigail points for her resourcefulness but it was inevitable Ben would be at the door because even the most remote cabin apparently is only five minutes away from Salem.

Of course I couldn't help but notice the way Gabi looked at JJ when she told Rafe she found someone to talk to. Oh it is SOOOO happening.:love::love:

I thought the torture was bad. It is beyond ridiculous all the problems Bo and Steve are having. I mean come on! Seriously!? And I know I keep saying it, but not liking that Hope is going to be made to look like a fool. I'm sure there is absolutely no chance of this, but I keep hoping Aiden will be redeemed and that at the very least he won't try to kill Hope. Just so mad about the Hope/Aiden/Bo story . And hoping that Ben holding Abby hostage doesn't last as long as Bo's torture.

Totally agree that this stuff with Bo is beyond ridiculous. Not impressed with this writing at all. At least try to make it even a little believable for this day and technology age.

Agree, agree, and agree again. It looked as if Bo and Steve decided to return to Salem by taking the back roads although time was of the essence. And why did Bo not try to contact the mighty Victor? At the sound of Bo's voice, he'd have sent the very best Kiriakis helicopter to pick up him and Steve. As for the cop, it was made all the more ridiculous because he was wearing a patch that said: "state police." Things are pretty bad when the state cops are portrayed as being even dumber than the Salem P,D. or even Sheriff Roscoe in Dukes of Hazard. Finally, just how far in the "middle of nowhere" is the cabin where Abigail is being held. Psycho Ben made the round-trip awfully fast. Salem must have isolated cabins strategically placed within the city limits for the convenience of lovers and criminals.

And so where/how did Ben get this cabin in the middle of no where? At the last minute? And the handcuffs? And why did he leave lights on in his apartment when he was supposed to be gone for a long time.

Ok, so I sort of figured Bo wouldn't make it back in time to interrupt the wedding but there was still that sliver of hope that he would. Oh well. We've waited this long, why not another day or 7. :drunk:Good to know that Ciara and Chase still have their little bets going on. :rotfl:I get why Caroline is doing what she's doing but it's kind of annoying at this point. Although, I wish at least someone would believe that she spoke to Bo. I don't like that everyone is basically telling her to sit down and shut up. That's why I wish that Bo would have interrupted the wedding. That way Caroline could have sat back and said, "see, I told you he was coming back!"
Oh, no. I'm not looking forward to what Ben is going to do to Abby now that he caught her trying to escape. I know he's psycho but please don't hurt her anymore. I can't stand any more roughing up of the pregnant woman.:tsk:

I wonder if Bo is sick from his torture. He looked at his arm and later felt light headed.
Maybe he's hungry. I don't think they have eaten much on their journey.

Is gambling hereditary like heart disease, etc? I wish Chase would get smart
and not bet with Ciara anymore. She always wins.

Why did Andre tell Chad about someone being killed like the necktie murders?
I'm glad Chad heard Andre when he was in the coma.

I didn't see Eric today, but Adrienne saw Eve kiss Justin. Thank god we didn't
hear Eve's music today.

Poor Abby. She got out of the handcuffs and Ben is outside the door :(

Where or where is now Steve and Bo on their non excellent adventure?

I thought Andre telling Chad about the false Necktie murder was just stupid. He was genuinely surprised by Chad's reaction. He clearly thinks like "fatha" that just because you have the last name "DiMera" you are automatically a heartless sociopath. I hope Chad never stops trying to disabuse them of that notion every chance he gets.

Imagine how much crime would get solved in Salem if the interrogation room were bugged!

LOVED that Jennifer was Hope's maid of honor after all. It was really bothering me that Kayla was instead of Jennifer. I also liked how they still seemed to be showing a subtle connection to Dan this week.

I commented in another thread last week that I hoped Bo being weak on the plane wasn't foreshadowing. Today we saw it again with his arm and apparent lightheadedness. I really hope this is not something serious. But it's definitely part of the plot and I'm guessing we will see more of it. The fantasy scenes were great. I think the show purposely didn't have him interrupt the wedding because he has done that before. Had we just had the scenes we've had the last 2 weeks with Bo and Steve, his return would have been a lot more tolerable. There was no need for the extended torture stuff.

I liked the scene where Shawn was talking to the teens and Jeannie T was looking on. It was basically all of Caroline's Salem grandchildren in one scene except Eric. I thought that was really cool. Eric did seem to be missing today but I thought I saw him in the back of the room at one point during the break.

Aiden is just a fool at this point.

Marlena's hair has looked better and better each day this week.

I liked Hope's wedding dress.

Ben and Abby: NO WORDS

Bo returning to Days just isn't what I hoped it would be and Bo truly is the hero :sarcasm: because I have a very difficult time investing in this storyline when all of the torture Bo has endured and he is not showing any signs of PTSD. I realize that is not the point but an ounce of realism would be nice and show that Bo can and SHOULD be suffering the effects of what he has gone and still be going through.
