10/10/21 - Donuts and Last Sunny Day?

Been awake since 3 a.m., up at 5. Two loads of clothes into washer, one dried & put away. Paid a couple bills, tried to get some info on health ins. prem. as I took hubby off, but not all that successful. Confusing info & prem. amts. Trying to get desk organized, big mess. Packrat hubby saved everything under the sun, from decades, so discarding, etc. Plus pics, old poloroids........egads, tho some fun to see..........I.E.

This could be my last warm day of the year. The high today in the 80s. Tomorrow's high
in the 70s after tonight's rain. I turned on the A/C early today since I'm using the oven.

I did my outside work like usual before and after Sunday school class. I'll be in the rest
of today.

Poirot, good luck clearing off your desk.

OC, I hope you have a good rest of the day. Hopefully, neither one of us will get the
bad storms that are in the forecast.

Good Morning...... had a rough day yesterday.... we were going to go to the fair, so had to stop first at storage to pick up my dad's wheelchair, sadly yes my walking ability has gotten that bad. Then we texted the guy we were meeting at the fair and he said it was so crowded that he was leaving. He has a booth at the fair!!! He is the monster maker and Hunny Bunny's barber..... Stayed home watching shows on streaming service BritBox.
We are going to get cold next week.

Now I know those look like lovely temps for most of y'all..... but we are supposed to be in the low to mid 90's.....
Following the bonsai trip on Instagram....looks like they are having a great time. The bottom of the bus looks to be pretty full..... now where are they going to put their luggage???? Monday night around 10 they will arrive here at my house and unload the bus pack their cars and leave. Most will come back on Tuesday to pick up the plants that didn't fit in their car.....

Robin, I've forgotten if you've said.....are you scheduled for surgery on your knee? I'm sorry about all your dashed plans over the past few days.

Kat, I've been seeing that bad storms are supposed to go through Oklahoma. They may be the same ones that are headed your way. I think they will stay north of me and I hope they'll miss you too.

Poirot, Ooh La La! Surely you aren't throwing away a picture like that! But good for you, getting right on taking care of business and cleaning things out. I remember wanting to close myself in my house for about two weeks, and to just sit down and decompress. But there are things, such as Social Security, bank accounts, etc., which have to be taken care of as quickly as possible so it seems like you are getting everything done. Sorry to hear you woke up so early though.
 
OC... I have an appointment with my doctor on Wednesday to try to figure out why my knee is still super painful and not bendy at all. I'm almost % certain he is going to tell me to try gel injections again or cortisone. Which will help for about 24 hours at best.... last time I went in and I said my knee hurt he referred me to a pain specialist. If he does this again, I will be looking for another doctor. It's been 2 years of pain and a slip sliding away knee joint.... I'm done.
 
Robin........I banged my left leg when I fell (chair tipped over), was so scared I had perhaps also broken a hip. Nope, all was well, tho knee hurt a bit, was fine after 3 days. 2 days later the INSIDE of the leg began to hurt, behind the knee, on top a bit, but to the inside as well. Back of knee stopped hurting, but that inside of leg (a bit lower than knee) is just giving me a really bad time. After 2 weeks, went to dr. (mine on vacation), was given 7 Prednisone pills, (last one tomorrow). Still taking Tylenol and using aspercreme, with it.) however the pain stays away longer, tho has not vanished at all. Seems I have osteoarthritis in the knee, I have used cane a lot......and kept appt. with MY doc for lst day he will be back, a week from now. This isn't what is going on with you, but just mentioning that knees seem to not want to respond as we think they should. By the way, overheard a customer at WalMart talking to her friend, an employee, how she finally, at last, is pain free, no cane, no pain, any more, how long it took. As I walked by, told her I was hoping that I would be able to be saying the same sooner than later. LOL Good luck, my friend. It is not easy, for sure.
 
I just found out I'm under a tornado watch until 2 AM.

Wow! Knee problems seemed to be the latest ailment. I'm hoping to NOT have surgery until the new year. I'm tired of always HEALING from something! Wish the best for all of you with the problem.
