It's a grey day and thankfully I don't have much to do outside today so I'll sit inside and watch it get colder outside. I'm missing a box of holiday stuff so if and that's a big IF I get energetic I'll go look for it in storage.....
yesterday afternoon HB's daughter called in a semi panic more of a hail Mary call.... Grandson wanted to go to the gym to work out but she was on her way to work... could we pick Grandson up and take him home so he could go out with his friends to a haunted house.... sure.... we had to go to Costco to get HB some medication so we'd get Grandson on our way home and drop him off..... deep sigh of relief.... it's been good to be here to take lots of stress off....

I hope everyone can spend some time with a mug of their favorite warm beverage just enjoying the day.....

Good morning......a toasty 31° here this a.m. but, the good news is.........NO snow.......despite it being overcast, grey, etc. The wind died down, and the grass is absolutely covered with leaves ....so much it is a surprise to see trees still covered with gold and red leaves. Grateful, tho.
Been moving things around in closet and drawers, making sure the cold weather gear is handy. Ha.
Not gonna get much warmer today, so they say. TV on Weekends for me is boring, all sports....football, soccer, basketball, men's, women's, high school, college, professional..........all day and night. Realize there are those who enjoy it all, but just leaves the Hallmark channel, or maybe Turner Classics, and those usually are something shown 1/2 dozen times already. LOL
Enjoy your weekend , am sure all sorts of Halloween activities will be going on. If not....just take it easy, relax. God Bless.

Good morning...at least it'll still be morning for a few more minutes.

Laundry is done. Then I made a trip to Walmart. Half an hour to pick up what I wanted. Then stood in line to check out for another half hour. The amazing thing was they had 4 manned registers. I haven't seen that in ages.

The current temp is an amazing 65° with drizzly rain coming down. The temps will start nosediving this afternoon. The weather folks are calling for a snowy Halloween.

robonsnest, I'm glad you can help fmily there when needed.

Poirot, stay warm and dry.

Walmart has been getting a lot of static about self-checkout. People were wanting a discount for "doing the work themselves", since WalMart seems to not want to hire extra people to man the registers during busy times. Our store here seems to have people stocking shelves, but when it gets busy, calls a couple to open a register for a while. When the lines disappear, the persons go back to stocking again. Seems that works well.

It's been raining here since 9 AM. It started when I left Walmart. The temp now is in the 50s after the balmy yesterday.
It's going to rain the rest of today and all tomorrow.

I can't see the ditch, but there's no water running like usual. 1. It's been dry. 2. Further down there are big logs sitting
in the ditch.

I went to the library this morning. I'll be catching up on studies today and tomorrow. Tonight I'm watching Disney's
"Haunted Mansion".

robin, I'm glad you can help grandson when he needs it. Hopefully, he won't need help when there's winter weather.

Poirot, I hope you find something to watch on TV.

rs, I'm glad you got your errands done.

Today sounds like a good day for most of us to have a cup of cocoa.

Looks like nearly everybody wants to get warm and cozy today. It's cold here too, overcast, damp, and in the 50s*. It's bearable because the wind isn't blowing too much at the moment. My niece has been busy without me today. She's been putting out cubes and hay. Wanted me to stay home in case she got stuck or my sick truck breaks down so she'd have somebody to come get her. We postponed putting it in the shop, since it was raining and muddy this week.

I spent some time in the kitchen this morning and now I'm still trying to get my dishes washed. I remembered I needed to cover an outdoor faucet so scrounged up some stuff to wrap that. The cover I used last year has something missing. It's going to get colder over the next few days, below freezing at night, with wind chill factors in the 20s*.

Hello and yup, it's definitely a stay in and be cozy kinda day here too. I celebrated halloween a little too much last night and paying the price for it. Haha!! All i want to do is stay in but we are off to another party shortly.

We received our first dump of the white stuff at the beginning of the week. 20cm fell on my front lawn.

I was in Regina for the week working and am now home. If I never go back to Regina it'll still be too soon. I'm sure there are things to do and see but even people I asked what would they suggest doing in their city and everybody said nothing. It's a boring run down city........true but there's always something to do otherwise why would you live there. So I went to the casino one night for 25 minutes and walked away $300 richer off the blackjack table. I have played blackjack in years. My last night there I went and saw The RockyvHorror Picture Show stage production which was great!!

Today I booked an adventure for my best buddy and I for his birthday. On June 29th, we will both br doing our first skydive at 10,000 feet. I am super pumped to do this. 2 other friends are going to book as well and get this.......my mother who turns 79 in a few weeks asked if she could join in and do a jump so I said absolutely. How cool is that, that she is in to fo this. It'll be a great memory.

Have a good day everyone.
