Yes. Such sacrifices! This morning I was thinking of Dr Warren, Samuel Peabody and all the militia the British captured and kept on prison ships. They died with untreated wounds, disease, and rat infested foodstuffs (cholera, typhus, smallpox). They could free if they renounced their participation in the colonies and pledged loyalty to the British commonwealth. To a man very young men mostly, they chose prison and death. They never saw their loved ones again and died loyally in agony. Now that is a legacy of patriotism!
