Wake up sleepy heads! That's our morning cry in our Sunday household. Hope your day is beginning with a bit more peaceful energy.

Our low was 95F last night and we're headed for 109-115F today. Sure hope this is summer's last triple-digit hurrah and under 100 temps are coming in September. It just drains the energy out of your body & soul otherwise.

Kat: I began my morning thinking "wake up like Kat" and "get things done like Kat". Fingers-crossed it works.

Poirot: hoping your Sunday is cheery and your hand is hurting less with each movement.

AGuy: you are always remembered!

Make the end of the weekend a good memory..
 
Good afternoon.....Back from church, hand really hurting today, is a bit swollen. Had to read scripture today....
had to use hand too much this a.m. before church, overdid or something. still hazy and overcast, but is cooler, just 82 now, was 58 this a.m. Supposed to rain..............................Hope everyone is o.k.
 
Another cloudy day here. I'm tired of it. I got petals picked up after I got
home from church/Sunday school. Rain in forecast later in the evening.

It's suppose to be cloudy and in the 80s first part of the week. I'll get out and
use trimmer when I can.

Poirot. I hope you can rest your hand the rest of today.

Noel, I hope your mantra will keep you going :)

Good Grief.... where has the time gone??? so much to do and so little desire to do it.......
All is well here..... just procrastination at it's finest...... even Mr. Gus can't be bothered to fit his entire body on his bed...... slip sliding down the bed.....

Hi everyone. It is cooler today with only reaching 75* so far instead of the promised mid-80s. The humidity is still very high so no relief with the cooler temp. At least the cloud cover and breeze are helping some.

Not a good weekend with the ear infection and a lot of mysterious pain from my right eye area ( not from my sinuses). Also the meclizine isn't helping with the vertigo caused by the inner ear problem. I see the retinal specialist tomorrow so hoping the eye pain is just psychosomatic due to anxiety.

Poirot, do you think your hand problem is from arthritis or something else?

Noel - You'd be in heaven here. Halloween and Thanksgiving items are in our stores already. We're taking bets that Christmas will appear by the end of this month.

soapkitty - It is definitely a good day when I wake up, and an even better day when I can function.

kat - With all of your dedication, you must have the most beautiful flowers and bushed in your neighborhood.

robinsnest - Sometimes you just have to say the heck with everything, and take some down time to just do nothing. Sounds like Mr Gus has that figured out.
 
Just an FYI.....I cannot take Ibuprofen, Advil, aspirin, because of other meds I take regularly. Yes, I do have arthritis, but it could also be tendonitis added. Will find out Tuesday, hopefully. Just don't want it to be carpal tunnel. As it is, am sure I should not even be taking all this Tylenol.
 
I've had one carpel tunnel release surgery..... it wasn't due to the normal way folks get carpel tunnel because I have to be different..... I have had 8 surgeries on my left wrist....I often remarked that my left wrist was a lemon and I should be able to turn it in for a new one..... I'm also left handed..... the scar tissue formed after each surgery created a massive ball of non moveable material that rested on the ligament.... the scar tissue was removed the ligament cut and the relief now that I'm many years down the road healed is amazing.... I do need a brace if I know I'll be doing heavy lifting of things as I don't really have any strength left in that hand, but that's minor and I have at least a dozen different left hand wrist braces.....

but it isn't something to go into lightly.... I hope you can get relief soon......
 
My neighbor called me before 5 to tell me we were in a tornado warning. I checked the radar and
took Goldie out before the rain. I took stuff off the porches just in case. The big rain and storm came.
Then the sun came out and I saw a rainbow. We're under a tornado watch until 9:30

rs, sorry to hear you're not feeling better. I'll keep praying you'll have a good eye exam.
 
Heya everybody! :) I hope that everyone is having a fabulous day. Today has been an okay day. I woke up feeling quite tired and a bit weak. I have been battling a bad gastrointestinal infection. :sick: After I woke up, I laid around for a bit and did a few chores that I needed to get done. Then I had lunch and it was the biggest meal I've had in awhile so I was a bit tentative as to how I was going to feel. But my stomach only hurt a little and then the pain subsided. I also ate an even bigger meal for dinner with little pain so I think I am finally on the mend.

The weather has been fair today. Right now it is hazy and 73*F, not a bad weather day but I have definitely seen better. I feel like the weather police, I am never happy.
