Chloe needs an aunt... her father's aunt... makes her Chloe's great aunt. I think.
Anyway... Chloe is at her apartment. Parker is sleeping..... comes a knock on the door.. Chloe opens it.
Chloe:Aunt Marian! Hi! Am I glad to see you!
A.M.: Hi Chloe heard you needed help.
They hug. AM enters apt. notices sleeping Parker... adorable!!
Anothr knock... AM opens door... and Elliot is there. He was in system with Chloe and they go back a long way. Many hugs.... viewing of Parker. All adults grin at baby...
Chloe: What are you guys doing here?
AM: we came to help. She gets Chloe and Elliot to sit down in living room and tells Chloe: I came to help you sort through this....is the marriage totally over?
Chloe: I don't want to admit it, but yes....
AM: and you have ppd?
Chloe :yes, but I'm not taking medication.
AM: Why not? It's a chemical imbalance... would you take insulin if you were diabetic?
Chloe: Of course I would. But it's not the same, sadness is part of the human condition.
AM: So is obesity, but that's no reason not to treat it. Who's been advising you?
Chloe: Kate DiMera.
AM: Oh and SHE has your best interests at heart??
Chloe: No, She hates me.
AM: SOOOOO? She tried to kill you and you still trust her??
Elliot pipes up: Didn't you learn anything while we were in the foster care system? The woman can't be trusted and you're inviting her in.
Chloe: What about forgivness?
 
Alright Bookworm, you have piqued my interest! I'm curious about this Aunt and how she is going to help Chloe with her ppd and Kate! Looking forward to the next chapter!
 
Oh this is so exciting. I just love AM. Can't wiat to see her in action helping Chloe and getting back at Kate. Looking forward to the next chapter.
 
Interesting start... poor Chloe really does need someone in her corner these days, glad to see you're providing that for her.:)
 
Damit!!! Lost the whole thing!!!!! Starting over
 
The three people have a cuppa, and chat... Elliot has very sensitive ears
ER (Elliot Reese): Chloe... someone's headed this way.... Chloe tiptoes to the door and peeks through the viewer... it's Kate. Elliot says "By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes"(quiet snickering) Kate puts her key in the lock and opens the door. Fortunately, the safety chain is on; and she can't open the door completely. A hand; Chloes; reaches out, grabs the key from the lock, throws it in the apt. and closes the door. Kate is slow this morning, and looks a bit bewildered. Inside the apt. hands are clamped over mouths, to stop the laughter. Kate knocks.
Chloe: Who's there?
Kate: (With a sigh of total disgust) It's me Chloe.
Chloe: This is not a good time. Kate tries to talk her way in, to no avail. She huffs and turns to the elevator, to the tune of " Ding dong the witch is dead."
(It's a neighbors CD... played for her 5 yr. old) Kate glares at the hallway and the apt. doors. If looks could kill, half of Salem would be dead. Fortunately, the elevator doors close. Back in the apt.... everyone is ROTF...
AM (Marian Burleigh) starts to gain control: Chloe, get your hat and coat... and let's go.
They all leave the apt. AM has a rental car parked in front of the building. They get in... and AM drives to the rental place.... that car is swapped for one with a driver who knows Salem. Elliot decides to ride with the driver, so the women can do "girl talk."
AM: Chloe, first turn your cell phone off. Chloe is startled, but does so.
AM: the driver knows where we are going. I'm going to take you to a Dr. friend of mine. It seems to me it would be better if you avoided the hospital for a while.
Chloe: But....
AM: Look, kiddo, what you've benn doing hasn't worked has it?
 
Chloe: No, but...
AM: When you've tried, and it doesn't work... chasing after him... time for a new strategy. I can't guarantee this will work, but at least you will have some dignity!!! They arrive at a downtown office building, Chloe, AM, & Parker go up. AM takes C to see a female doctor who has had ppd. AM has also told the Dr. Cs life story.... ( Elliot opted to stay with driver) C & Dr. go into Dr.'s office. AM baby sits. One and a half hours later C returns. Meanwhile P has been fed and changed. C looks happier. The Dr. follows her out, gives her some samples, and reminds her to take them as prescribed. They shake hands and C promises to retuen in 2 weeks. Back in the car...
C: What next?
AM: Courthouse. I have a lawyer waiting. WE're going to file for divorce and complete custody. ( Did I mention that AM is VERY wealthy?)
C: I'm not sure I'm ready for that....
AM: And we're going to change the babys name....
C:What!?!?
AM: Time to get serious. I've never misled you, have I?
C: No, you've always been straight with me.
Courthouse.... divorce papers are filed, and Parker Daniel Jonas becomes Patrick David Lane. Chloe is still not sure of this, but decides she has nothing to lose.
 
AM: Is there any reason to stay in Salem?
C:not really.
AM: good then we're going to the airport! She has a plane, they board and fly off to somewhere sunny for 2 wks.
Time has passed.... no flashbacks.
C is back in her apt. with AM. E has flown off to Atlanta he has a company there. They've been home long enough to put Patrick dowm for his nap;AM has gone to check out " facility" Much banging on door, and C opens it. Daniel, Victor and Kate enter, all asking at once... what's the meaning of this, where have you been??? Etc. P begins to fuss. C moves to him and quiets him.
C: (in an angry whisper) What's wrong with you people?? Don't you ever think? Did it ever occur to you that Patrick may be sleeping? For goodness sake, people USE YOUR HEADS!!!!!
Daniel goes first: what's the meaning of this, as he rattles the divorce papers
C: I should think that would be self evident, Daniel.... (just a tinge of sarcasm
 
in her voice.
D: I'm not sure I'm ready for a divorce.
C: Oh, well I am, and I'm ready to move on with my life!!
Daniel stands ther, looking confused. Chloe says goodbye Daniel... opens the door and says: Don't come back... he leaves looking very upset.
Victor: It's not going to be that easy to get rid of me. How dare you take my grandson somewhere without my permission?
C: In case you've forgotten V, I am Ps mother and don't need your permission to do anything. V. fumes a bit
V:We'll see what my lawyer has to say.
C: By all means, and give him this... as she hands him a business card... she escorts him to the door, and ( in shock that he hasn't been able to intimidate her) he goes to it.
C: And take Kate with you. V stands at the open door... undecided.
K: Oh, I'm not going anywhere!
C: Yes, you are leaving and not returning. Now, we can do this the easy way or the hard way, (she takes Kates arm to lead her out) Which is it going to be? Irate, Kate shakes her hand off and huffs her way out the door. Chloe relocks it. AM comes out and give a round of applause.. quietly, so as not to disturb P. Chloe bows.
AM: Way to go!! Now let's plan the next thing. They hug and the end.
 
Good job Bookworm! Thanks for making Chloe stand up and take control! It's nice to see that she didn't back down to Vic/Daniel or Kate, you gave Chloe a backbone! Nice!

:clap: Good work, bookworm. (forgive me, but Aunt Marian's personality is a lot like Auntie Mame's - as played by Rosilind Russell in an old movie, and boy, is it good to see her on Chloe's side) Chloe with gumption! Yayyy!
 
Poirot, I love Auntie Mame! Rosalind Russell is one of my fav actresses. You're so right about Auntie Marian sounding a bit like Auntie Mame,,,if we all could have grown up with an Auntie Mame!

Yep, I enjoyed that movie... making Aunt Marian a lot like Auntie Mame wasn't on purpose.... just thought Chloe needed someone in her corner. Since her parents haven't shown up... decided an aunt was needed.
 
Oh no you can't end it like that. I want Daniel, Kate and Victor to grovel to be allow to see Patrick.
 
Bookworm, I agree, Chloe needed a strong woman figure in here life..not saying that Maggie isn't strong, she is, but Chloe needed a relative. Well done, looking forward to reading another story by you!
 
I absolutely LOVED Kate trying to enter that room with her key, chain lock is on, and Chloe pulls the key out of the lock, slamming the door in Kate's face. Made me laugh out loud........
 
Thanks bookworm. Great story. I just loved how the Aunt came in and took over for Chloe to give her a chance to regroup. Loved the part where she throws Kate, Victor and Daniel out. Looking foreward to your next story.

Me too! :clap::clap: Cute story...short and to the point.
 
There's more to this one. I usually "write" when I can't sleep. I don't have it all worked out, yet, but soon.
 
Chapter ??
A few months have gone by, but Patrick has been SORASED. He's now about 18 months old.... toddling around and getting into everything. Aunt Marian has rented the apartment next door. She's babysitting as Chloe goes to her doctor... by the way.. it's nice weather in Salem, so Chloe is doing a lot of walking... as she leaves the doctor's office; she passes an art store. On a whim, she enters and purchases sketch pads, watercolors, canvas, pencils and a table top easel.
She enters her apt. and puts the stuff down. Patrick comes running onver for a hug.
AM: Hi Chloe. Whay's that?? pointing to the bag as Chloe gives Patrick a big hug.
C: decide to buy some art stuff.
AM: Oh, O.K. didn't know you could draw..
C: Don't know if I can, but wanted something different.
AM: When do you want to start?
Chloe unpacks, with Patrick's help... and places newspapers on the table and puts the easel on top. Patrick is fascinated by all the goodies. But he's a fairly well behaved child and doesn't start unloading the bags. Chloe puts him in his highchair, so he can see what's going on. He gets a cookie to play with and munch on.
Chloe decides the best subject to start with is Patrick. So, she gets the pad and pencil.. and starts sketching. Of course she's very good...
She starts to transfer the sketch from the pad to canvas.....
AM is impressed...."Wow, that's really good... looks just like him!"
C: very giddy with success.. Yeah it sure does....
{This may not happen in real life... I'm not artistic.. but hey, it's Salem!!} The painting is quickly done...Patrick wants to see, and of course he likes it.
Chloe puts the canvas aside to dry.
AM: So what now?
C: Nap time for Pat...
P: NO!! NO NAP!!
