The knitting basket on the table is the one that kicked off the storyline of Bo being Victor's son. Kimberly was pregnant and Caroline found her old knitting basket and gave it to Kimberly to make some booties or a blanket for the baby, forgetting she had hidden letters that she had written to Victor (and never sent) in the bottom of the basket. One the letters said she was pregnant with his baby, but the letters weren't dated, so Kimberly was afraid Victor was her real father and she might be pregnant with his child.
I guess the stuffed animals in Deidre Hall's (Marlena) arms were stand-ins for the twins, since that actual scene had her holding the babies. Here's a screenshot from the actual scene with the twins in her arms. And look at baby Eric next to teenage Jennifer and think about how 30+ years later they'd be boinking each other.

Yes, Bo is holding Carrie. That's when she was played by Andrea Barber, who went on to be Kimmy Gibbler on Full House.
