If history has told us anything about smart, clueful FBI agents that have the ability to see through the lies and deception of Salemites, once they decide to make Salem their home, work for the Salem Police Department and become accustomed to the Salem water, their IQ diminishes, become dumber than dumb and talents are wasted on locating cats. Sound like anyone we know??
 
Does anyone watch the show The Middle? Just saw a rerun in which the dad, Mike, said his son Axl's girlfriend was "dumber than a bag of hammers".

Dumber than a bag of hammers should be Salem's town motto.
