Missed first 15 min....NY Gov. having press conference.......but maybe good, as rest of show caused enough eye rolling to last me quite a while.Tony & Kristen not all that happy with being brought to Maison Blanche2, for a wedding, not a business meeting. They try to reason with Chad, they know he hated all that DiMera stood for, but figure now he must have been brainwashed. Stefano wants Tony as best man, Kristen as matron of honor, Chad will perform the ceremony. Marlena walks in, bridal gown, Tony & Kristen are appalled. She carries that cactus flower called Queen of Night, agreeing to marry Stefano.

Abby had gone down to get some champagne, is whacked on head by Gabi with her empty bottle, Kate tends to her, she wakes up, has questions, is brought up to speed. She is reluctant, but realizes Chad has been acting weird she she returned home. She has brought them up to Anna, all is explained. Anna has been trying to reach Tony (Chad took his & Kristen's phones), but she remembers the Find My Phone app she put on Tony's phone.

Somehow, Hope is out of the hospital, with Kayla, John & Brady who are perplexed as to where Stefano has stashed Marlena. Hope has a flash of memory, of him showing Gina the blueprints for the replica of Maison B. he built for his Queen. Seems it is in Crystal Lake, outside Chicago. John & Brady go racing off. Hope & Kayla try to go, too. Nope, stay behind. John knows all Stefano wants really is to get Marlena in his bed.

Stefano orders Chad to start, he recites long vows of undying love, and how he waited decades for this, yada, yada. Marlena has nothing prepared, tis o.k. Chad has her say regular vows, and then pronounces them husband & wife. They kiss!!! Eager Stevano has a huge feast for his guests, but..right now, escorts Marlena out, to begin his honeymoon.

Tony & Kristen whisper to each other, he tells her he turned the Find my Phone app on before giving the phone to Chad. (and back at DiMansion, Anna happily notes she has a fix on where they are, she & Abby go rushing off, leaving Kate & Gabi behind). Chad wants to know what they are whispering about, Kristen makes up some thing, but tries to snap Chad out of his brainwashed state, both verbally, and by slapping him. He grabs her by the throat, drawing his gun on Tony with the other hand. Nasty words ensue. But Brady comes crashing thru the door, gun drawn, pointed at Chad's back.

In the bedroom, Stevano has removed jacket & tie, loosened his shirt. Marlena comes out in negligee. He is thrilled, finally realizing his dream. Kissing, he whispers "Let me make love to you", as they sit on bed, another kiss, they lay down, he is kissing her, door opens.......John!!! The look on his face says it!
 
This had to be the most disgusting I have ever watched. Thank God John showed up before the act but not before the "wedding". I am still not convinced that that is Hope. Especially since she remembered something.

Knew Abigail was going to get whacked by Gabi. Will this bring back Gabby? I know a whack on the head didn't bring her out the first time, but it's a soap. Something usually happens with a whack. Hey, maybe this Chad will like her.

Please tell me this is the beginning of the end.
 
So people have to tell Hope what she did as Gina, and yet she "remembers" something Stefano told Gina? Not buying it. Thanks for the recap - as I said, they have crossed the line so I will probably keep reading, but they have lost me as a viewer. DISGUSTING!
 
I sat and laughed at most of the show. It's beyond ridiculous. At least Anna is funny. Yeh, I felt pukey when Steheno and Marlena kissed. Wish she knew she's 70 year old.

Marlena is standing in front of a mirror in her wedding gown and John appears behind her (in her imagination). They talk of their love. Then he disappears as she calls out to him, but only hears Steveano's voice (again, in her imagination).

Hope and Kayla go to see John at the townhouse. Hope apologizes up and down for everything she did as Gina. John brushes it off, she was no more in her right mind than Steve is now; it's all good.

Abby gets a call from Will that Gabi never showed up to get Arianna, thinks it's odd. Abby goes to check with the nanny. Something about the maid said Gabi needed a dress ironed, but it's still hanging where it was, untouched. Abby talks to Anna and thinks it's odd Gabi and Kate both missing. Starts putting 2 and 2 together about Chad's odd comments about hiding 2 women when she first got back from Africa and heads to the tunnels to make sure there are only rats down there.

Steveano babbles to his kids. Tony threatens to call the police and Chad pulls a gun on him.
 
I'm glad Abby and Gabi had very little drama. (Aside from the app snark, which was perfect.)

I'm glad today's episode aired. (I tuned in at the half, and Roman and Hattie were breaking up. It was a goof and mid-scene it jumped to the ''wedding''.)

I actually like Kristen when she's a less-evil cog in the DiMera Machine. But she needs an André or a Peter or an EJ as a rival, not the actually good brothers.

I'll admit I wouldn't have watched today if schools were open. But it wasn't a terrible episode (though maybe because I only watched half) aside from the vomit-inducing Steve-aNO pre-rape scenes.

The stuff with Abigail after they came up from the tunnels was just weird to me. Like she was just lad di dah about it. I think even they are bored with this.

We really need more Tony. He has the best lines and I wonder if he ad libs a lot. Also his necklace made me wonder what ever happened to that amulet?

Seems they started those weird credits this week. What's up with that??? No more rolling credits over the hourglass. These credits look like some cheap thing thrown together by kids for a school project back in the 80's.
 
Seems we see credits differently. In the past, the credits were, for me, at the bottom of the screen, tiny letters, going very quickly, while previews of primetime shows played on the screen. Currently, because many prime time shows have stopped filming, they evidently are no longer showing previews, so for me, is a black screen, with large letters that I can READ. They are not slow, but at least one can read them. It was soooo frustrating for me to have the credits in tiny letters at bottom of screen, with all the scenes actually taking your attention away.
 
I don't get why Kayla is so calm about Stefano taking over Steve's body. It's odd and out of character. She should be moving heaven and earth to get the real Steve back. I guess Steve and Kayla aren't favorite of the current writing team, unlike John and Marlena.

I'm disappointed Abby didn't punch Gabi in the face for whacking her. I guess I can't have nice things there either because Gabi is also the writer's pet.

Hope having these memories make no sense.

The last scene was super creepy. I'm glad John walked in before another rape took place on this show.

Yes, that's what we're seeing now, with the weird music playing.

Normally it's either the rolling credits over the hourglass or smooshed across the bottom like you mention.
 
Nope, never any rolling over hourglass. LOL. Honestly, I pay no attention to the music........actually, sometimes I don't even hear it. I think because of the sound system. I don't care for the HD sound, so knock it out when I can. Maybe that is why, lol. However, there are times the sound just goes so dim, (which is terrific on some commercials, lol) but not so good when they do flashbacks.
