Also, why are they recycling JJ's singer songwriter vibe with Johnny - at least the filmmaker thing was unique and creative. The surprise talented guitarist thing is so overdone.
 
I watched this today. I just can't take Johnny and his movie seriously. He seems like a little kid trying to cook up some fantasy. I skipped a lot, to miss all the parts with Marlena in them. But I got very frustrated with Julie and John. Yes, it also gets stressful watching Doug try to get the truth out but he might be able to say it if Julie and John would quit talking over him in their efforts to reassure him that everybody loves him.
