Episode #10,910 Director – Kathryn Foster
Tony & Anna arrive home after having left an ad presentation to a prospective client. Tony is giving Anna a hard time about it going on too long, being boring, etc. while she insists no such thing, Mr. Lester could not keep his eyes off her. Tony replies it was more her backside he was watching…just some playful banter, they laugh, go inside to find a table all set for two, expensive wine at the ready, and wonder who is planning on doing some entertaining. Stefano comes in, wonder no longer, he is expecting a dinner guest, and they should vamoose. Not hardly likely as the curiosity is overwhelming, Stefano is mum, but the guest walks in, surprising the duo…as it is Kate. Stefano wants them to leave, Tony refuses, wants to know what is going on, but Anna drags the reluctant Tony off into the foyer. He tries to eavesdrop, but Anna gets a better idea, and soon we see Tony & Anna, all dressed in white chef and waiter duds, bringing in hors d’oervres & a bottle of wine. Seems Cook had a problem, so they are taking over the serving. Stefano sighs, might as well get this over with, have dinner, etc. (These scenes are fun, so is the repartee). Now Stefano wants them to leave, but Anna insists they have not had dessert yet, talks of making sundaes, lol, but Stefano has had enough, wants to talk business with Kate. Finally Tony & Anna retreat, but only to just outside the door, definitely eavesdropping.
Now Kate wants to know what interest Stefano has in Hearth & Home. None at all, his interest lies in her personally. He wants them to marry. Kate is taken aback, but Stefano insists he has always admired her, had a great deal of time to think in the last few months, and thinks a “merger” would be a good thing. Kate claims this is so sudden, she has to have time to think. What is there to think about….a simple yes or no. Tony & Anna are astounded. She asks about his thing for Marlena, his “Queen of the Night”, Stefano chuckles, oh, he has plans for Marlena, is not done with her yet.
Abe is on the phone, trying to persuade someone that Stefano should be prosecuted, as Hope stands & listens. (She is wearing a gun belt!!!) He hangs up, frustrated that he has spent so many years trying to get Stefano behind bars, and he always goes scot free. Bo comes in, they all commiserate with each other, & then Abe talks about how his home life and problems with Theo are adding to his frustrations. Lexie arrives, Bo & Hope take a hike, leaving them alone. They both talk of how they feel they perhaps are not doing enough for Theo, spending enough time. Lexie gets a call, she forgot another important meeting. She bemoans how she is forgetting a lot that has to do with work, they both try to comfort and soothe each other. Abe suggests a vacation, nope, not a good time as it would upset Theo’s schedule. She gets another call, and learns the hospital review board wants to see her.
Meanwhile, Bo & Hope are both on computers, trying to get info on Trent Robbins, Hope succeeds first, learning finally the name of the female that Trent married …….Misty Circle. Hmmm, Bo has heard the name, does some tapping on his computer, & shows Hope the info on porn star, Misty Circle and the Locker Room Lolita porn video. Hope wonder how he knew Misty Circle was a porn star, and Bo let her know she was his ex-stepmother at one time. Hope is shocked to learn Misty Circle is none other than Nicole Walker.
Trent paces outside the Pub (O.K. is it my imagination or has the Pub set been overhauled? The outside seems different, and the booths have seemed to have disappeared inside), as he tries once again leaves a message after trying to call Melanie. He flashes back to asking her to “be nice” to his friend, Claude, then looks inside, seeing Marlena sitting alone. Nicole comes along, wondering why he is still there, he mentions waiting for John Black. She asks if he is going to try to hit him up for money. Nope… they have words, he wants her to give him the money he needs, the answer is no again. She sees him looking at Marlena, tells him why not try a different target. Trent goes inside, gets a very cold response when he greets Marlena. No, she doesn’t want company she wants to be by herself. He asks if she made a decision about John, yes, divorce, then asks if he has been in contact with his son. He tells her many parents have issues with their children, even her. She tells him her personal life or her children are not his business. He replies that people in glass houses should not throw stones. He tries to bring two cups of coffee to the table, no thanks, she has her tea.
Outside, John has arrived, watches them thru the window (which seems to have a wide ledge outside it now). Along comes Nicole, who asks if he has been able to do anything about her info on Trent. Alas, his gambling is nothing John can use. Nicole says something about Trent being scum, dangerous, etc. and they can see him hitting on Marlena. John goes in, grabs Trent, gives him a right cross to the jaw. Down goes Trent, and suddenly, John grabs his head, sinking to his knees. Marlena goes to him, but he seems to recover, looks at his hands, gets up. She now gives him a hard time about attacking Trent, (who has gotten up, and has an ice pack on his jaw) & berates him for being just exactly like Stefano. John gets angry, he is not like his brother, but she makes it clear. She loved her husband very much, pursued this John for months, hoping that her husband, even a remnant of him, was somewhere down deep inside. But this John does not even know what love is, only control, just like the shipping on the docks. She is going to live her own life, it does not include him, she is divorcing him, and warns him to stay away from her. John throws money down on the table to cover the damage to the Pub, Trent pops up with “what about the damage to my face?” John throws some money at him, says he is sorry to have bothered you to Marlena and leaves. Now she walks up to Trent and tells him he is not innocent in this, tells him they do not have a relationship, & if he annoys her again, she will rearrange his face. LOLOL. Go, Marlena! He watches her leave, muttering she should not have “messed with me, Marlena”. . As Nicole was watching thru the window, telling Marlena to go “sic ‘em”, she grabs her stomach, puts her hand over her mouth, and runs off to the side. She returns later, holding her stomach, saying something about Caroline’s clam chowder, and using bad clams. She looks in the window at Trent, saying John, you should have finished him off when you had the chance. Marlena exits the Pub, stops, gets a quizzical
And now we see John putting a clip into a gun. He seems to be in a target practice area, has the ear protectors & goggles on, says “I won’t let you win, even if it means I have to kill you”…..and proceeds to fire the gun several times.

P.S. the coming attractions for Monday show a couple of scenes from the black & white film noir episodes, along with present days Nicole telling Philip how she’d like to kill Sami Brady. LOL
