JJ's Apartment: Lani is upset about the upcoming marriage of Eli and Gabi, and vents to JJ (who has just picked up his tux). JJ and Lani engage in a spirited debate about whether or not Gabi will find a way to interfere with the new pacemaker. (the wedding is today.) JJ assures Lani that Gabi will spend the whole day getting ready, and he'll be at the hospital to prevent interference.
Julie's Hospital Room: Julie gushes about Eli's upcoming nuptials. Eli is worried because nobody can find Kayla. Doug tries to help, they discuss a delay. Julie says the procedure's no big deal, and that she's never been as wrong about a person as she was about Gabi.
DiMansion: Gabi meets with a tech, who gives her something that will keep her in control of Lani (via Julie's heart). He just needs to scoot it to the hospital, and give it to the performing surgeon. Gabi reminds him this is a secret; Chad and Abby enter and demand to know what secret. Gabi covers, the tech leaves (says the guy is her jeweler and she bought Eli a watch; was arranging the special engraving; Chad asks to see the watch and Gabi says no, not until Eli sees it first). Gabi mentions Sonny is caring for sick Arianna, and she's very busy; Chad says that Stefano is back. During a break he tells her about Steve-aNO. (Gabi gets some funny lines.) They rehash the plot, but Gabi's comebacks make it enjoyable.
Police Station: Shawn-D is trying to call Ciara, Gi-Nope is brought in by Rafe. She is furious. Rafe leaves her in the interrogation room, Shawn-D is pleased that Kate is being arraigned, and just as dismayed by Rafe's recounting of Gi-Nope's insistence that Rolf's procedure was permanent; Hope is gone forever. They have 48 hours to get Hope back, or Gi-Nope will abscond. Rafe goes to tell Doug and Julie the news. Inside the room, Gi-Nope fiddles with her cuffs. Shawn-D enters, delivers a speech about being a little boy on the Fancy Face, wave knocking him down and Hope saving him; Gi-Nope pretends to cry, tells him it's not going to work.
A Warehouse or something: Kayla has patched Steve-aNO up. He won't let her leave, reminds Kayla she's not a cardiologist, and mis-remembers their history. She lays into him again about his abandoning the family. He tells her Stefano is closer to her than she realizes, and is a danger. (His reason she must stay.) He has stolen her phone, so she can't call Justin. (For some reason long flashbacks from yesterday are included.)
Hospital: JJ thinks he recognizes the DiMera tech (Chris Choy). Chris zips off, Eli comes upon JJ, who remains distracted about Chris. JJ forgot the rings, but Eli has them. He hands them to JJ for tonight.
JJ's Apartment: Lani flashes back to Eli's proposal, then prays for intercession in her life.
DiMansion: Gabi asks Abby to help her prepare, Abby says no, because she's getting tested for Mickey. Gabi makes fun of the baby's name, but decides to as well, and Gabi expertly deflects Abby's barbs.
Julie's Hospital Room: Rafe tells Doug and Julie about Hope.
Interrogation Room: Gi-Nope vows international consequences. Outside, Shawn-D tries to reach Kayla.
Dingy Warehouse: Kayla's flummoxed about her phone. Steve-aNO says she probably left it on her desk while fleeing. Then he smiles at her.
