Quickie summary:

Lani looks like she's doing a little decorating at JJ's. He and Haley had apparently taken over Eli's apartment (which looks like a mash-up of JJ's last apartment and part of Gina's lair). Eli and Lani had lived there prior to her walking away from the wedding. (wonder if Eli still owns the Martin House?) Lani's about to tell JJ exactly what Gabi was holding over her head when Eli knocks on the door.

Julie asks Eli if he'll stop by JJ's and talk to him, see if he's doing OK. Eli comes to the door and Lani hides. JJ and Eli talk. Eli notes he loved Lani so much and she broke his heart. But JJ notes he's with Gabi and happy. A lot of blah, blah, blah regarding Eli and Lani, and Eli and Gabi. Eli leaves, goes back to Julie's Place.

Julie and Gabi were talking (earlier, they were looking at pictures of Ari at her recital). Julie hinting that Gabi should stake her claim on Eli and get married. Gabi says he hasn't asked. Once Eli returns, Gabi has to step away and take a call. Julie kind of hints about popping the question. Eli laughs and asks for some privacy and a bottle of champagne. Julie's all smiles.

Abby goes to see Kristen, to see if Stefano is there. Inside is a replay of "Steve" convincing Kristen he's her father. Then he puts on the patch again, and opens the door. Abby is shocked to see Uncle Steve in Kristen's hotel room. He starts his song and dance routine of being there to question Kristen about her dear father. Kristen says, oh yes, her father was there in her room, asking for her shares of DiMera. blah, blah, blah. Abby buys what Kristen and Steve-ano are selling and leaves. Steve-ano chuckles to Kristen about her little charade with Abby.

Chad goes to see Kate about selling her shares of DiMera. She acts like they're so very precious to her because they came from Andre. Chad's not buying it.

Jennifer writes an article for the Spectator. Jack shreds it. It's more or less about the DiMeras and Rolf and how Rolf was willing to try and kill Jennifer (supposedly) for the flashdrive. Jack says Jennifer's a target to Rolf and he doesn't want to do the story in order to keep her safe.

Then I had a conference call and missed the end of the show.
 
While Kristen was spinning her tales about Stefano having been there and now gone, once Abby left, StevaNO seemed to be really surprised that his lovely daughter had such a mean streak while she was "joking" with Abby.
 
Spare the audience: How much of the "heartwarming" reunion between Steve-ano and his human checkerboard of a daughter will the viewers be forced to endure. Enough already.

Let's give credit where credit is due: Jack claims that he kept the Spectator going when all he did for a year was sit at Jenny's bedside and turn over an hourglass? If the paper was kept alive it was because of Anne Milbauer and the other unseen drudges who do all the dirty work.

It goes without saying: Kate actually told Chad: "I haven't been completely honest with you." Since when has Kate been completely honest with anyone?

Clueless is as clueless does: After all the time meditating in the convent, Lani still hasn't figured out a way to save Julie from Gabi's lethal pacemaker? No wonder she never could solve any crimes.

Hypothermia anyone: If the writers wanted to please those viewers who hold Gabi in low regard they could have had her develop hypothermia and go into a coma after venturing outdoors in the middle of an upper-mid-west winter wearing that outfit she had on today.

I wondered if Kristen wore the black and white dress because it
looks like chess board.

So, where does JJ live now? A loft across the hall from where he used
to live? And is he using the same refrigerator where he used to live? Or
did they take the things off the old one and put them actually in the same
spots as their old one?

Julie is driving me nuts because of her nice attitude toward Gabi and
the viewers know what Gabi did.

Did Abby drive to Kristen's hotel room then to the pub where she saw
Chad? Did Chad and Abby drive two vehicles back to the mansion?
That's what I kept thinking about.
