Eric eating like that was so ridiculous that all I could think was that they're really trying to change his personality on a dime or something.

I really can't stand Sloan and that's really more of a director or writer problem. Better to say it's an over all show issue. When I see Sloan I think stripper trying to look like a lawyer. Sorry to say it but I'm just starting to have an overreaction to these things. She needs to close her shirt. Chanel needs to stop wearing clubbing clothes to the bakery. Gabi is a given. I was beyond thrilled to see Nicole in a tee and shorts looking like a normal human today.

If there’s a Cass Winthrop in Salem, who's next: 1) Dr. David Gilchrist at University Hospital, 2) Stephen Frame joins the Salem luv scene, 3) John and Marlena hire a new butler named Sven Petersen, and 4) Robert Delaney moves his architectural firm to Salem?

Basic Black: If the friends of Paulina and Chanel want to put an end to slimy Sloan’s reign of terror, they should get John and Steve to contact one of their British counterparts to investigate Prof. Peterson. They’d probably learn that the lecherous academic had affairs with several students every year.

Sloan: This sleaze’s lack of legal ethics continue to amaze. Even the less-than-honest Ted Laurent would be shaking his head over her antics.

Eric: In addition to being a sourpuss, he’s now a gullible sap. If he fell for shifty Sloan’s tale of woe, some local real estate agents have some Smith Island swampland he might be interested in buying.

Cass Winthrop: What a craven creep, ready to toss Honest Abe aside at the first sign of trouble. Jack should sic his old mob of supporters on him. Their threats to tar and feather him would teach the opportunistic Cass a few manners.

Jada: She’s now joined the anti-Nicole crowd. Fie on her. Over the years Nicole has been targeted by some Salem heavyweights. She doesn’t need any additional dirt piled on her by some cop who had the bad judgment to hit the sheets with the likes of the former Father Eric.

Was it wrong of me to enjoy Rafe and Jada talking about Eric and Nicole? They talked about how they
were speed bumps along the road of Eric and Nicole getting back together.

Interesting to see Rafe not wearing a black jacket.

Did anyone hear Sloan tell Melinda she's owed one because of her two cases she gave so she let Eric off?

I enjoyed Johnny and Chanel talking to each other.

Will Paulina keep her word and not be governor?

Belle tried to have Eric hire Justin. Sloan said "He hasn't won a case since she's been in pre-school"

We have to hope Eric won't go to the dark side especially now since he's hanging out with Sloan.
 
EXACTLY! WHY do the women ALWAYS have to be so dependent on a man to take them in? Ava, Nicole, the list goes on. "Oh, I've nowhere to go" and boom, they're in someone's bed. Just too predictable. Come up with something new like they are independent, bad to the bone and can take care of themselves?

Is that what Sloan is supposed to be? Because you kind of wrote her to be a b word. I don't like her either. Just ewww. Can we have an independent woman that isn't obsessed with pinning an accidental death on a victim of teacher/student sexual misconduct? I said what I said. Chanel is a victim here.
 
Hi everyone! Ever remember when Michael Bauer from I think The Guiding Light went on a trip to another network to appear on The Secret Storm for a stint? It was the biggest thing since Joan Crawford stepped into her daughter Christina's role on Secret Storm. LOL!!!

When I heard Cass Winthrop I had to go back to make sure. I think Stephen Schnetzer (Cass Winthrop from Another World) is in between projects. Would not mind if he stopped into Salem and brought Donna Love with him.

Sloan is HOT, but irritating as hell! I agree with Jason's take. She kind of reminds me of when Nicole came on the show and I thought she looked too much like a model and not a real person. So it’s ironic to me that they would repeat that and put Eric with another Barbie doll who is certainly not convincing as a lawyer. Or am I just being guilty of stereotyping?

I said something similar yesterday. Probably didn't help that our first introduction to her was half dressed. I just think 95% of her persona is based on her appearance. I find it seriously distracting.
 
You can certainly have a sexy, smart lawyer character who's introduced the way Sloan was. But the characterization doesn't come across as smart, and the actress walks and moves like she's playing a hooker or porn star. That's literally the vibe the character exudes. It was annoying, but now it's a terrible mismatch to the backstory they've given her.

Kate bedhopped and played up her sexuality in business, but she never comes across like an airhead or like all she's doing is trying to sleep with people--even though being a prostitute is in her backstory. If the actress is going to play Sloan so overtly seductive, then they should balance it out with a more conservative wardrobe. She's doing the sexy work with her body language and facial expressions. We don't need to stare at her lacy bra in the police station as she's allegedly representing a client.
