Another busy day in Salem, as the camera and residents really jump around town. Hope is still sitting on the school steps, smiling, when Kayla comes by, barely able to get Hope's attention. She realizes Hope needs to talk to someone, so they go for coffee and some girl talk. Hope tells Kayla all about her encounters with Aiden, how she was trying to help him in some way, it backfired, mentions him being slightly tipsy, and kissing her. Kayla eagerly is asking if she kissed him back, surprising Hope. But Kayla tells her that Bo is gone, that there is nothing wrong in anything she did, but that she needs to talk to Aiden, be honest, best thing.
Meanwhile, Aiden runs into Nicole, who appears to be looking for someone in the Square. Yep, Tis Aiden's client, who was advised by Aiden not to talk to Nicole. Well, Aiden & Nicole go back & forth a bit, until she finally admits she didn't want to do this interview, Miles insisted, so now she has a good excuse. She admits to being in a bad mood, Aiden is, too, so she wants to have a drink. No alcohol for Aiden, though, and off they go.
Jennifer is outside Daniel's apartment, having a fantasy about him opening the door, kissing her, knows it would never happen, but maybe. She knocks, Daniel opens, is not happy to see her. She blathers about their coffee date, which was to be later, but she figured to stop by, pick him up. Not a good idea, he says no. Now she wants to see Parker, and it is another no. Until they see really what may happen with them, he doesn't want parker to be involved. She comments that he lets JJ & Paige babysit, and yes, he does,. But no, Jen cannot see him. She gets a call, emergency at hospital, cancels their coffee and takes off.
JJ & Paige are talking in the Pub, MaryBeth comes in, hears about the party, wants to go with them. Rory has followed her in, JJ is saying no, Paige thinks he is being rude. He decides to go see Daniel, tells his tale of MaryBeth woe, Daniel advises him to lay off. Even if MaryBeth thinks ill of him, doesn't matter who he was, it is who he is now. Be nice to her friend, so Paige won't have to defend her. Instead, she will be defending him. JJ returns, apologizes to Mary Beth, of course she can come with them, all is well. (zzzzz)
Eve is talks to Jill about what she wants her to do regarding JJ. Paige returns home, Jill hides again, Eve stops Paige from going to her room, seems the paper she wants i s there in the room. Paige takes it, mentions going to the party tonight, leaves. Out comes Jill who now realizes what is going on. Eve evidently wants Jill to compromise JJ in some way at the party, change her hair, clothes, less makeup, she will pass for college student.
Later, Eve is in the square, spots Jen, who talks of wanting them to put the bad stuff behind them, at least be civil, for the sake of our children. Eve chatters about the party the kids are going to and will be having so much fun, fun, fun! She takes off with a giggle.
Nicole is having her wine, Aiden appears to be drinking water, they don't know each other well, but are getting along o.k. Nicole starts talking about Hope, with whom she doesn't get along too well, not understanding why her husband calls her Fancy-Face, and sort of whispers it should be Frowny Face.Aiden smiles, but oops. There is Hope standing behind him, obviously having heard, but she smiles, thinks Nik & Aiden look like they are having a good time. Nicole has to leave, bids them good-bye, Hope sits down, is not happy she was the source of their amusement and name calling. Aiden wonders why she stayed and sat down. But Hope is curt and short, tells him to have a nice life, and leaves.
Jen is at the hospital, talking with Kayla, telling how her visit with Daniel went sour, and the coffee date is cancelled. Kayla tells her to try for tonight, that Parker will be staying at Maggie's, so she has perfect opportunity. A nurse brings Kayla a file from the lab, with the report on the drug that might help John. She calls Daniel, wanting him to look at it, and goes to his apartment to show him. He checks it over, wonders if Kristen was right, and this will help John.
Replay of EJ promising to stand by Sami no matter what, kissing her cheek, her sobbing on his shoulder. Perfect timing for Kate to walk in, saying sarcastically she hopes not to be interrupting anything. Sami babbles about talking about the kids at camp having such a good time. Kate is disbelieving, EJ gets a phone call and goes out in the hall.
Now Kate is on Sami's case, hoping she is not swallowing EJ's attempts to butter her up. Sami retorts that she got her revenge, made her point, so why should she be able to grab a little happiness. She doesn't want to end up alone and bitter like Kate.
But Kate thinks Sami is just lonely in bed. She mentions all that EJ put Sami thru BEFORE he dallied with Abigail. Sami just seems disheartened that she is done with her revenge so why not have a bit of happiness.
Out in the hall, EJ talks to someone about Mr. Weston, wanting to know how well he did in Missouri, etc. and wanting full info, to set up a meeting. He hangs up, and Stefano is calling. EJ tells him he dug around and yes, it was Rafe who got all the additional info on Stefano, probably with help from other authorities. He figures Stefano won't be returning. Stefano agrees, not now, of course, but when I do, it won't be good for Samantha & Katerina. EJ changes the subject to the video of the kids at camp, yes, Stefano got it.
Back to the women in the study, and their discussion of being co-CEOs, but not being on the same page. EJ returns, affirms that Stefano will not be coming home yet, but that when he does, he is out for them both.
Kate is leaving, saying that it does seem, now, that it is every woman for herself, as she flounces out. EJ assures SAmi that he meant what he said, will protect Samantha from his father, however he can.
In the park, Rory is saying good bye, see you at the party, when along comes Jill, who now looks like she just might in college. She flirts with Rory, claiming she has seen him around, asking if he is going to the party, that it really seems like everyone will be having a lot of fun.

I'm glad that Kayla is supportive of Hope and her feelings about Aiden. Nice to see. 
, there were a few notable events. 1) A Salem lawyer actually gave a client good advice: Aiden telling his client not to talk to Nicole. Carrie "Princess Hag" Reed would have advised the guy not only to talk to Nicole, but to let Will write an article about him. 2) The news that Hope is now actually Mirandizing suspects. Bo Brady, whose usual approach was breaking and entering and/or locking suspects in rooms and beating confessions out of them, would be greatly disappointed that his Frowny Face was now walking the straight and narrow. Finally, there's Eve who continues to sink lower into the Salem mud. If this woman keeps it up, she might soon edge out Kristen in the nastiest woman in Salem rankings.
