I think Carrie was married to Lucas before he knew he was a Horton.

I hate the tradition of giving someone an ornament before they marry into the family. I think that should be the first Christmas gift for anyone marrying a Horton. Also hate that Daniel, Melanie, and Parker have ornaments. I get it but I don't like it.

Carrie married Lucas in July 2006 (and then Austin in October 2006). But that has nothing to do with her ornament, which she got in 1999 after she and Mike had left town the month before.

Am with you there, Heather. It has been upsetting to see ornaments for non-Hortons (by blood). I understand the "honor" but the whole thing has lost it's emotional meaning....when the likes of Gabi, Victor, still have ornaments. Maggie WAS Mickey's wife, but she married Victor now. She is NOT a Horton, he should not have an ornament, and he does.

Sorry, I just feel those ornaments should be Horton people, not far removed exes, or just because they are a parent. Hard to explain, just feel the show has gone overboard. Heck, everyone in Salem has an ornament it seems.

I think Shawn's was another one that was originally someone else's and they painted over that name/design with that big yellow oval.

Is it just me or do some of these look like a child painted them? Some just aren't nice looking. Just my opinion.

Tend to agree with you, but then, perhaps they just look like that being enlarged photo. The ornaments are smaller when on the tree.
